The FBI run the sites so they could directly have links back to visitors using tor and more easily find their real IP address and prosecute them.

I support sting operations.

It's common knowledge that authorities like FBI have a library of child porn to host on trap websites.
Unfortunately they need bait to catch the predators so they unfortunately need to have this material to perform sting operations.

I wanted to start a discussion about child porn. Not sure what the best way to do that is so I am searching for related threads. Needless to say child pornography is more rampant than you can begin to imagine.

So how does being involved in pornography as a child affect a child's development is the number one concern. I think we can assume it does not affect it for the better, and what is disturbing is that this is becoming more of a problem for more people than ever before seen in the history of humanity.

I do not watch child porn. Please just know my reasons for engaging in discussion on this topic stem from no personal concerns whatsoever.

I thought I was into weird shit, then I found the dark web and I think I had nightmares for like 2 nights.

 

Only people with a special device or clearance can access the dark web. How'd you do it?

 

If i remember correctly, the dark/deep web can only be accessed with Tor and I2P. I think a VPN is needed also. I wouldn't recommend trying to access the dark web. I have heard some disturbing stories about it.

 

I know not to access it. There's some really messed up things going on, on it. I was just suprised that a normal person was able to access it.

Heard about this. So, its ok to distrubute child porn if you are a law enforcement agency? Does that mean that police departments can start making a bit of extra cash by selling all the drugs they take take off the street?

 

Here's the thing.... Different countries have different age laws.... And you don't actually know how old that girl is on the other side of the screen unless she's a famous pstar.
Age of consenting adult in Asian countries can be as young as 13/14.
That means that they can get plastic surgery at that age. UK is 16.
Not every country has our laws.
Unfortunately this leads to human trafficking and hidden cam sites.
And an average shelf life of a girl in the life is 6 months so why do you want to think to hard about how old she is anyway?

Most people only care about what happens in the 6min she's on screen... Not if she's 18.
It's a scary thing to think about after the fact tho....
I showed my SO a picture of a girl, she had a bunch of plastic surgery... He thought she was 25...she was 9.
Turns out in a country in Europe, when in a arranged marriage you can ask the father to make changes to make her more appealing to the groom.
Fake boobs and all.
It terrified him.
It was on some YouTube video.

I grew up in other countries.
I had to know the age laws of the places I went as a American abroad.
And the video I showed my SO was part of a therapy exercise in CBT, his therapist was present and it was approved and prediscussed.
Also, whether the laws are the same or better or worse today than ten years ago or not.. My point is valid.
