  3. 40 days! Almost halfway. There have been many challenges during this journey and it's not over yet. I do however feel that I'm getting closer to my goal. I CAN'T FAIL NOW!

Good luck to everyone, you can do it! I've been struggling for months with this challenge and this time was the first time I got over 20 days. The forum really does help so much, be active here to stay motivated and remember your goal.

Guys! Can somebody explain me what's the meaning of 'Normal mode' and 'Hard mode'?

  6. I'm not 100% sure but I believe that "Normal mode" is that you only abstain from P and M. "Hard mode" is when you stay away from P,M and O.

Checking in 45 days guys!!! 1/2 of the challenge done , 1/2 to go! I battled insomnia this week a lot, I got insomnia periodically and that sucks, for me it leads to more urge but it was controllable! Have a great weekend guys! Don't let the free time of the weekend get your mind on PMO! Stay strong!

Congratulation mate, what is about insomnia, you can't fall to asleep or you're waking up during night?

Thanks man! I don't know what it is really about insomnia, I had this periodically for about 17 years now! I just can't fall asleep. When I go to work after a sleepless night, it just sucks, I feel like a zombie at the job and I know I'm less productive. I do think small things triggers my sleep like last weekend I did a bit of drinking and it had affected my insomnia for the weekend and this week. Before that I slept the whole entire month without any problems. It's really periodically. Now I did some fasting on water yesterday to repair my body to it's initial condition and I did sleep great.

I'm in too, knowing that this 90-day goal is just a beginning to go further. I feel enthusiastic to share such effort with you guys. It's very symbolic for me to start now as my second and last son is newly born. Let's be men, no less, proud of ourselves!

  17. 45 days! I'm finally halfway, I actually never thought I would get this far after failing so many times. I feel really proud and now I want to do anything but fail. I do get urges but I know that the only thing I can do is ignore them.

    Good luck guys!

What I feel from where I am so far (faraway from where you are and from what you've been achieving), is that a urge needs a satisfaction whatever it is : our body needs a dopamine shot in any way. I let it one past few hours ago. I wouldn't say I ignored it but I noticed it and considered that I need to sleep. Letting us fall into sleep when it's possible is effective : it's a relief for our body that delays the urge when it doesn't remove it. It did not remove it in my case but I find it easy to replace my need of porn by my commitment to the Nofap community. And being committed with you guys can't be boiled down to a goal set on a website. It rather means to get involved into increasing the content of this web community, increasing the support we all need and finally spending time here rather than there... In this way, my body feel satisfied and the urge has gone away.

I do believe that this 90-day challenge is a good goal as a starter for me since I know well that it won't be enough. But it is a significant delay to operate some changes in our life, in our habits. I'm not credulous, I'm not "green"... 90 days is not enough to reboot the brain once and for all. Some attempts by myself in the past proved it wrong as though the relapse is just sort of waiting (like a hidden beast) the moment the brain will loosen or lower its guard, will be "open-minded" in a sense to get back into old habits side by side with the new ones you have set up in your life; and bit by bit, old habits will manage to gain ground until it becomes overwhelming. We shouldn't underestimate old habit's strength. Old habits are well set up in our brain where they are powerful and tricky. The fight won't end after a 90-day challenge, far from it. Anyway it's a won battle (at halfway stage either) in this war against our addiction which is no less powerful than an alcoholic one.

Keep alert! Don't lower your guard wherever you are in your challenge.

This writing gave my body the dopamine needed. So I do feel grateful to this community.

    Take care.

50 days down! It's strange I had more withdrawals symptoms between day 40 and 50 then at the start! I battled a lot of insomnia and had strong urges, battled fantasy temptations as well! I did a lot of 10,20, 30 days in the past before relapse and I think my body got used to it that's why it didn't react that much. I got past 40 days just once before so that's kinda new and it reacts with new stronger symptoms! I guess everybody different but it's not too comfortable right now!
