9 months of nofap, still flatlining?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Hungry_Shark, Nov 4, 2017.

  1. You hit the nail right on the head, the brain is always trying to trick you when you've been addicted to something. If you give in and orgasm while you're still recovering that can set you back, I know it's different for everyone but that's why they say to wait it out until the withdrawals clear.

I don't know how long you've been PMO free but know the symptoms you feel will eventually pass, I too have them and if I can make it to the other side without giving in I'll be in a healthy place. The feeling tired and unmotivated is a huge annoyance though, I have to drag myself out of bed and it's not the sleepy or depressed kind of tired either, I just don't want to do anything.

I'm 9 months pmo free, i hit the flatline on day 1 and it continues till today.
As I wrote in my original post, i have some amazing benefits too, but this lack of motivation and lack of energy, fatigue lethargy is killing me.
God knows how long its gonna take.

  3. Oh, I feel so stupid I'm sorry, I didn't realise you were the OP I thought you were someone else.

I mean sucky stuff like urges and what not are painful, but persistent lack of motivation and energy sucks the most. I only have enough motivation to do small hobbies that don't require a whole lot of effort or thinking. Hang in there, I'm sure your withdrawals will pass even if it doesn't feel like it at this moment.

I'm waiting, waiting for 9 months straight.
I'm hoping some day I will get rid of this fatigue and lack of motivation.
Some day I will feel happy like I used to feel before pmo.
And best of luck to you too, god bless you

This guy claims he has the cure for anhedonia. I've tried everything on the list except for selank smart drug but have been considering. I've also been researching cerbrosyln, which is supposed to actually repair brain tissue.
I've had 3 brain scans all come back showing trauma
    Qeeg
    Spect scan
    Evoke brain scan

Each time it's come back with a form of ptsd. Actual brain damage :(
Which is very perplexing. I don't know if that's a commonality we all share obviously. But based on my shared symptoms with some of us here, I just thought I would post this link. If anything its interesting to hear what others talk about with this condition outside of porn

I won't take drugs, its a flatline which will go away with time.
    Drugs is the last option.

I hear you. I wouldn't take a pharmaceutical that you would have to stay on forever. I would take a nootropic temporarily however if it could permanently pull me out of this. Still researching myself..weighing the risk benefit. Obviously the duration of the flatline plays a role too.
