Today is proving to be a challenge; I can almost feel the relapse in my brain and chest trying to claw its way out. I just hope I can push through the rest of the day without a problem.

I’ve been wondering what is the best thing to do for myself when I get withdrawal symptoms like serious headaches. I can’t focus when I get them, which makes it hard for me to do any work that involves reading or writing. The only thing I can really do is play video games, and I know that isn’t the best use of my recovery time. I’m not sure what else I can do when I get this symptoms and I worry what will happen if the interfere with my life.

I have a suggestion that might help, because I do this combined with NoFap...gym and diet. I weight train anywhere from 1-4 days out of the week depending on how busy I am, and if you didn't already know, weight training releases antidepressant endorphins to the brain the make you feel good for the next couple of days, it helps mentally. That, and I eat pretty healthy and balanced, nothing fancy, just basic proteins/carbs/monounsaturated fats/ and vitamins/minerals from eggs, meat, brown rice, peanut butter, bread, broccoli, bell peppers, tomatoes, avacadoes, cucumbers...etc. The cool aspect about the diet part is doing your research on certain foods to find that certain foods have "perks" for example some foods are considered "mood boosting", like avacados, broccoli is just a healthy powerhouse food that always makes me feel "wholesome" the next day, eggs help your sex horomones as does avacados, which gives you more of a motivated feeling.
That's my suggestion, it has definitely helped the quality of my NoFap experience.

Lately I have been concerned with how trying to reboot is affecting my ability to learn. I've always been somewhat of a procrastinator, but I feel now its become a bit more than that. My constant headaches and mental restraint from PMO have made it difficult for me to focus and retain certain information; and I worry that I may end up costing myself a proper education because I'm so distracted with rebooting. Is trying to get over addiction while you're in the middle of a busy schedule the best idea, or will it get in the way of your life exhausting yourself and neglecting what's important?

I'm 8 days into my reboot and I'm already feeling depressed and unmotivated. I can't bring myself to do any work or focus hard enough on anything besides TV and Video games. My life just feels crappy right now and I don't know how to pull myself out of it.

Believe me the worse it is, the better it will feel once it subsides. You will feel amazing later. Keep on being your true self :)

Those headaches are the mountain between you and freedom. Think of it like this "Pain is merely weakness leaving the body". What would be beneficial to you, always feeling crappy around people or just walk into the room and feel like a commander of some sort. Just change your approach to those headaches and know that once you come outta them life will be amazing.

I know how it feels. Meditation, long walks and eating healthy can be your friend during this time. I believe in you, just do it.

Hey man, the first days are the hardest. Don't focus on the pain though, its a mockery to make you fall back into porn. You can do tons of things instead of it, start rewiring your brain as soon as possible. You won't fix the anxiety by thinking about it, you'll have to teach your brain to react differently to being sad of worried.
    Keep at it!

By focusing yourself in activities you actually enjoy, by spending time with people you like, and by doing healthy activities. Understand that the anxiety and depression that comes from the reboot is caused by the porn and that by getting away from it and thanks to these activities your brain will rewire back into a natural state where you will actually enjoy life and feel fulfilled by simply being alive.

I've been on quite a bender lately, and it hit hard. The withdrawal pain was immensely difficult and I pretty much just broke down after 10 days. The headaches are the worst part of it, and putting up with them when I'm trying to work is the worst part.

My first reboot I had awful headaches and body twitching. I even had loose bowels. The withdrawal really hurts the first 30 days.

I am on a day 15 after 25 years of MO and good 15+ of internet porn, I guess you have to get really sick of it and see your self from a sober perspective, I have envisioned my self almost like a freaking rat that skips out on eating delicious steak and lobster to crawl into my secret hole and eat crumbs... Am I tempted now, probably not so much to watch porn anymore but I am also leaving my self no time for nonsense, work, very heavy workout at the gym, get home, drink tea with melatonin and hit bed, read something interesting before sleep and get 7-8h of rest at night. In the morning I am happy that I've succeeded another day and this gives me motivation, I have stayed away from any sex but I think within 2 weeks I will give it a try. I really didn't suffer from ED but I had no interest in intercourse in the first place. I feel this is a very important will test for me, something that defines me and my character.

Have you considered that video games (or TV) is also making things worse for you, as it also destroys receptors in your brain. Before i made any progress in nofap i needed to stop playing games and get off the internet. Once i did this i started seeing real results. You need to find other things to do, as hard as it is you need to give your brain a rest from all the external stimulation

Yup, especially this streak when I was between days 14-21. I was just flat out down and depressed, having constant headaches, waking up and not being able to fall asleep. It's completely normal, some have it worse than others.
