    Hi all,

I've been away for a long time as I forgot my password. I'm beginning to realise that My addiction is real. I've been journaling my feelings when fapping and abstaining, it tends to show that I'm unhappy after fapping. I'm really struggling with this.

Anyway, I wanted to write a post about PMOing and sleeplessness. I hear so many people say that they sleep better or can only sleep after fapping. This drives me mad because I am the total opposite! If I fap anywhere near bedtime, I don't sleep. It's maddening! I currently lay in bed at6:24 waiting for the alarm to go off to start another 9 hour work day with 0 sleep. I really worry about my brain's health as I never get enough sleep. This is one of the main reasons I started NoFap.

I feel like I'm fucking cursed or something. My body is so tired my eyes burn yet I'm unable to drift off. I know if must have something to do with adrenaline or dopamine as that plays a role in sleep. This is why I want so badly to stop. Or at least cut down a lot.

Hopefully I'll get there. Here's to another shitty day of being tired, anxious and unsociable.

  2. Oh man I can sympathise with you so much. In withdrawal porn will keep you up all night I promise it you it does get better as time goes on. I had that dreaded insomnia for years not knowing why I had it.

When did the insomnia go away for you? I've been doing this for about a month now and I just reached a 7 day streak. I haven't slept in 3 days and I don't even know what to do, I feel like just relapsing so I can sleep.

Hang in there buddy. You would rather stay up all night than look at porn again trust me

  5. It went away around day 50 ish for me I might have one or two days since then but my sleep is a lot better. I must stress I’m a severe case though!

Do meditation in bed, listen to meditation practices. Do the deep breathing and by end of session don't open your eyes. Keep them closed, breath in and out until you fall asleep

I've meditated for many years my friend but it doesn't work when my brain chemistry is all screwed up.

  8. I mediate too and what I've found is that while it may help slightly, you'll still spend hours trying to fall asleep as your brain is all messed up and nothing will help that. It ends up essentially being a long meditation session when I should be sleeping. lol

I guess it's something most of us just have to go through? Nothing but forcing myself to sleep has worked so far, but it's better than the alternative.

Same here, insomnia is really annoying and nothing helps. Tried everything, sleeping pills also don´t work. But watching porn again? Nope.

  10. And the problem with stuff that helps, aka sleeping pills or the likes are habit forming and would only help in the short term. Then you'd have another addiction to remove, all in all this addiction is crap.

Yes, but without much sleep it´s hard to do work, it´s a quagmire. Guess the sleeping pill addiction would be the lesser evil, but they don´t help much anyway.

  12. I could only start medititating once my shortness of breathe and my mind could relax a bit better. At the start of this journey I couldn’t meditate at all. My mind was wandering about too much.

Come back to meditation when you feel you can there is no rush!

Hello, Brother. Its possible that we started NoFap for the same reasons. My reasons how I got here is: I was looking for solution to my fatigue, brain fog, social anxiety and feeling sleepy all the time(and it doesn't change since my teenage). After reading success stories I decided to give a try. Feel a little better, but my main problem is like yours - sleep. Don't feel like I slept when I wake up, eyes very sensitive to light, feels like burning, eyelids are down, hard to have conversation(this one is the most exhausting) and can't think straight(feeling like drunk, afraid to drive). Its been two years since you posted this. Wanted to ask:
Did your sleep got better after 2 years of trying this or maybe you tried something else? I am considering to try 5-htp, l-theanine, magnesium. People say they sleep though the night after taking some of these. I however haven't slept all night without waking up since 15. I am 26 now.
