STOP PORN NOW !

    STOP PORN NOW !

Especially if you are a teen or young adult you need to address this right now.
First if you are using porn you are and addict get that clear, there is no such thing as recreational porn, thats like saying you can use recreational Meth, or Heroine.
I have used porn 45 years since I was around 10. Yes ten, due to what I think was abuse at the time. but I continued the addiction myself.

Agree or don't this is the facts as I write this I have my first 93 days ever.
But you are me, in the making don't kid yourself like I did.

Words I wish I was told when I was younger.

    Porn does this :
    1. Makes you and addict, don't think you are.. you watch porn you are !
    2. Porn rewires your brain to thinking that its a normal way to release and deal with lives pressures.
    3. It will screw up intimacy on all levels from friends to partners.
    4. You will realize you put porn first over many other things you could have done.
    5. You will spend 10's of thousands on Porn, don't care if its free it will costs you $$$$.
    6. It will make other addictions easier to get involved in.
    7. Over 70% of porn users also have other addictions.
    8. It will kill your confidence, I am a very outgoing person and this stunted me big time I am only now breaking free after 45 years.
    9. In some cases abuse follows use, its estimated 45% of those that watch porn have other sexual issues, be abuse, molesting, multiple partners, sexual deviance even criminally.
    10. There is no cure for porn addiction, but there is management and a way to live porn free. But you are and will always be an addict get that settled now.
    11. It will and can effect your anxiety and develop panic attacks, rage feelings and depression. That can take along time to cure.
    12. It is estimated that 1 in 4 porn users will developer long term migraines, tinnitus, and even bowel issues.
    13. You cause harm to your body just like a Meth or Heroine addict, porn can permanently deplete dopamine levels and kill the receptors. This is why Meth and Heroine users can actually end up losing emotional feelings like happy and sad.
    14. Porn makes you stupid, yes in the very real sense porn helps destroy cognitive connections in the brain by effecting serotonin levels.
    15. Do you know that relapsing is worse then the porn its self. To some degree that up and down of Serotonin and dopamine when you use and stop can wear your nerve responses down and can cause numbness sometime permanent in your extremities due to the damage of nerve endings leaving stoke like symptoms.

The good new is you can recover from porn addiction, not cure but recover.
The longer you wait to quit, the more your body adapts to the porn use life style.
The longer you wait the more a chance of long long term recovery of damage to your body or irreversible issues can occur. I plead with you now, quit now. People say they relapse that will happen but thats just another nice word addicts use to justify a restart.
Other issues like ED, and mood swings can reverse and you can feel healthy again and find healthy relationships. But using porn and relapsing wont help one bit.

It took me 45 years and I am paying the price with my body, even my own arrogance I knew 15 years ago my body was changing but the draw to use was too strong for this user to bare. Mostly because my addiction in the beginning had no internet, no NOfap sites no books on quitting. I was like a kid in a candy store went from Mags and VHS to on demand internet porn. I pray each day for strength to endure, if I can do this after 45 years. You can do it as well. I get it....its hard as hell no one knows that more then me. But I now have the tools to try and manage this, I owe my sobriety to myself, my family and also to all of you and that helps me fight as I don't want to see one more person waste half there life on this garbage like did.

SO IN CASE I WAS NOT CLEAR :

    STOP PORN NOW !
    Video says it all...

Yes.. the cost is just simply too high. I shared this in hope it will slap some up side the head.( including myself always good to say it out loud)

I 100% get it, quitting porn is like running a marathon 2 miles while holding your breath and wearing a 50lb backpack why a wild ferret is in your pants. It seems near impossible...but its not.....I now can say with all certainty porn didn't ruin my life.
I ruined my life.......... that means

Porn can't fix what it didn't break......but I can fix what i broke.

It seems to begin and end with personal responsibility !!

  6. Well done on getting to 94 days! getting over the 90 day mark is often cited as being an important milestone with any type of addiction recovery. I agree that porn is a spring board and catalyst for even more dangerous behaviours it's something that has actually been known for a few decades. I read somewhere that the FBI find pornographic material in many crime scenes and residencies of those convicted of serious crimes, seems to be an 'interest' generally amongst those sections of society. I was also a heavy cocaine user when i was at my worst with porn addiction and I can tell you both go together like strawberies and cream. When i was doing my 12 step programme for my drug abuse, whenever there wasn't any females present, often the subject of porn came up and suddenly rooms full of men started admitting they also had problems with porn, it was often laughed away but i knew there was people in there crying out for help.

People still struggle to talk openly about porn and even more so the dangers associated with it, to the point where most are guilty of burrying their head in the sand and not wanting to talk about it. When porn is spoken about openly in mainstream media it's often with a tongue in cheek attitude or backwards advice that 'a bit of porn can spice up your sex life' or 'it will help you find your sexuality' both are lies. For a lot of people porn drives a wedge between them and their partners or they end up becomming so confused about their sexuality because they have seen every category of porn that exists they lose sight of who they are as a basic human being.

If you're not careful porn will take your soul and you will have to fight hard to get it back, so many people fall for it and so many people fall because of it.

I was impressed by the power of your words.

My addiction has lasted half of my life (13 years).
You are the living evidence it can last much longer.

Every time I did it recently, I felt so stupid in the end. You can't imagine.

Thanks a ton for your contribution! You just motivated me like hell!

Great post! My addiction has been with me for over 55 years. Now in the final stage of my life. I do have regrets for what may have been possible had I not had this addiction but "Thank God" I found NoFap and I am now well on my way to a truly wonderful retirement experience. I have lost over 50 lbs; 8" off my waist; all of blood levels are now well within the normal range and I have found my spiritual roots again. Best of all, my relationship with my wife is as good or better than it has ever been. I hate porn but almost everyday the addiction tries to lure me back. EVERY DAY! This is incredibly difficult but if I go back I lose and the addiction wins and I ain't gonna let that happen. Keep fighting and take responsibility. No matter how old you are make a decision to stop and do it today.

    Dear Aadam Khan,
The only tip that comes to my mind is the following:

If you just relapsed, please know that the neuronal paths in your brain have just been reactivated, so it is still very "fresh".

So, my advice is not to say to yourself that you will quit forever, just to try to set a deadline of three days, for instance.
After that, your neuronal pathways will be have been starved a bit, and it will be easier for you to say no.

For me it works. But you know, it's been now three years that I am aware of my porn addiction. I can tell you that the motivation that will get your *ss out of this hell unfortunately doesn't come in one day. It's a slow process of comprehension.

I'm sorry to quote what told me once a catholic priest (if you are not a believer), but "if you do a sin again and again, it's because you still don't hate it enough".

So if you have some desire to stop now, it has some reasons.
Try to gather these reasons, to do a list of them. Maybe you'll even find some which you didn't think about before.

Look into your past. How your lust for porn comes maybe from external things, which might have made you suffer. How porn has prevented you from developing yourself, have success in what you like and be with people whom you love.

Do that and come back here to tell us about your impressions.
    Have a good night, man.

43 year addiction to PMO. I'm on the low end of "progress". I haven't been getting it done. Feeling sad but hopeful. Appreciate this thread.

@HumanBob nice quote but u know the problem is we in our age knew that all this is bad its not that we came to know now that it is bad ... that we are teaching our younger generation or the people who are elder then us on this nofap reddit are teaching us the same way that we are explaining here to the younger ... the porn and sex addiction is so strong that everyone man/women single or married are the victim or these two evils for ages.. those who repent or sideways soon are saved by the almight those who are not i guess are destroyed for ever.... adultery fornication masturbation are the same route cause of course it looks hot lusty but eveyone who is victim men/women pays the price of it no one runs away freely we may see that we are but actually we havnt....
