I'm sure this topic has come up in the past to some of you long-time members, but I feel that if you unconsciously do it in your sleep why should it bring you down and ruin a long streak? Do you consider it a natural thing or not?

Its completely natural! I very rarely have wer dreams, but I occasionally have pornographic dreams- the point is I don't choose things when I'm asleep, so why blame myself?

  3. It's the body's way of releasing excess semen to maintain good health. If anything, it's a positive.

  4. It depends on the dream if the dream is normal then its normal

If the dream include porn then its a cum

In the day if you watching too many porn and girls and not get orgasm or masturbation then your subconscious mind will store this emotions and let them out as wet dream.

Don't worry about that mate. Your PMO streak remains completely unaffected by the wet dreams. As others have said it's a natural process & is not a conscious choice on your point.

Good question but you can certainly chill on that point.

    Keep going brother!

I wouldn't consider that breaking a no PMO streak, but that's my opinion.

  9. Seen from the physical point a wet dream is nothing else than a relapse. But it makes a big psychological difference whether you are doing PMO or you are just ejaculating during your sleep without participating in any provoking activities.
Your body is DESIGNED for ejaculation. Seriosly, it is against nature to want to forbid ejaculation. In addition to this: Your body is heavily used to orgasm when you were PMOing previously.
Don't take NoFap as a challange where you forbid your body to orgasm because some people in the NoFap community suggests it is something bad. Your target should be to normalize what was heavily modified by internet, porn, etc. Yeah, this includes Wet Dreams, that might include relapses (as long as you learn from them).

I know it feels like a relapse, but be assured: it isn't. Be happy that your body works the way it is supposed to work and continue your journey.

P.S If it happens very often (I don't mean once or twice in a week) many people report Kegel exercises to be helpful. You might want to google it. but please, in your own interest don't make a problem out of nothing.

  10. I'm on a "Hard Mode" (not just no PMO but also no MO or O at all) so I would consider it a relapse / strike breaker if I would become lucid in dream and start PMO/MO or even sex (cos you very well aware it isn't) in dream consciously. Also for me personally my wet dreams are very rarely full O's, mostly they are ruined O's where I don't fully finish. So if I wake up and consciously finish myself off fully I would consider it a relapse cos it's conscious masturbation. That's for my so called "Hard Mode" challenge. But it also depends what are your specific requirements. If all you did was resolved to not PMO, but can MO without P for example, then you would not go by same rules as I do. I would say that if you are not conscious and have no control then it's fine. I agree, you should not beat up yourself for things you have no control over. If you get lucid and PMO in a dream then even if it's still a wet dream I would consider it a relapse. Really what I'm saying is you need to look at your specific conditions. And in the end of a day it's useful to ask this question to see what other people are doing and think of this, but in the end of it all I think you should make up your own rules that fits best for your specific situation and your goals. Just make sure you don't use wet dream as an excuse to actually brake the streak for real!

yes, yes, yes it is a very natural thing. When you are not sexually active prostate fluids accumulate, build up and sooner or later the body will expel those. Personally I love those because I feel so relieved when they happened and because you are asleep when you wake up you feel so relaxed and rested. Wonderful feeling. The do not ruin your streak. It is nature's way of eliminating what you do not need.

While some dreams are result of what you put in your mind, most of my dreams don't make any sense and I have absolutely no control over them. Most often than not when I have wet dreams I am having sex with people I do not know or with people I would not even consider having sex with. I disagree with your comments that it depends on the dream. You might be guilty of watching P. But once you are asleep is your brain organizing and rearranging everything you have been putting into. Most dreams are crazy and don't make any sense. In your dreams you can not tell if it is porn or not! To all those who are reading this I honestly feels dreams are beyond our control and we should not feel guilty about it.

  13. It's not a PMO streak breaker, unless you are a lucid dreamer meaning you know how to control your dreams, but I don't think that's your case!

Not a streak breaker in itself.

I had a horrific wet dream, my first in over 15 years a week ago. I say horrific because I vividly remember the dream, which was replaying some of the style of softcore video content I used to watch. As I was dreaming those images I woke up to see what was happening, which freaked me out, mostly because I didn't want to ruin my sheets lmao. Once I got over what had just happened, I went about my day as if nothing happened. It didn't feel like a relapse, as when I used to relapse I would always get brain fog and anxiety. Knowing it wasn't in my control helped assure me that nothing wrong happened, and in fact it probably was a good thing.

Long story short, it's part of the process, clean yourself up and go on with your day and streak.

Is it true that wet dreams cancel out the benefits you feel from NoFap?

I had a dream again last night that I was watching porn but I stopped myself while dreaming. It was a relief to wake up and realizing that I didn’t break my streak

I was looking at images/videos within my dream, wasn't masturbating. But I definitely had a wet dream for the first time in a while...I wouldn't consider that breaking your streak though, because a dream is a dream.
