I lasted about a week when I first started. Now back on multiple times a week. Had two in the space of one evening the other day. (Not to mention it was over the weird fantasies I have been trying to quit and haven't touched in weeks)

Is it just a part of me? Is the gross shit I'm into just because I like it or have I legit been conditioned by porn?

Is it even worth it? I'm not causing harm to anyone besides myself perhaps, which I know many of you will believe.

I feel as if even if I went years cold turkey off PMO I'd still have this 'problem'. I feel like it'll always just be there and I'll never be able to fully turn myself off of it, I'd just be ignoring the urges essentially. You can't help what you like, But again the main question is, is that because of porn?

People on this forum are here because porn destroyed their lives and they want a better future. Yes we all fail and fall, but it is how many times we get up and keep going and never giving up
A better question to ask yourself is, if you have PIED 3 years from now would you be happy?
If you have marital problems because of porn, will you be satisfied?
Are you satisfied with self gratification through fantasy instead of a real relationship?

bro, porn did a lot of harm to my mind , body and life. Quit watching porn was the best decision I made. Bro, you don't want porn to be part of your life man.

In the short term you may not see the benefits, but after 30 years of heavy porn use I have erectile issues. I have marital problems. I have more emotional baggage resulting from or fed by porn than I care to discuss. Is it worth it? I sure as hell is for me. Maybe you are different, but regardless... porn is bad and quitting is good.

  7. Porn Induced Erectile Dysfunction.

That happens when you've conditioned your brain to the near-infinite novelty and kink of internet, and you end up not being able to get an erection with a real woman. It really sucks.

What did it do to your life? Why was quitting the best decision you ever made?

I dunno I see it as completely natural, I'm in my early twenties. Main reason I wanted to quit was because I began to become involved with some pretty sick shit.

Oh, I think I actually used to have that! Years after I developed was when I lost my virginity and throughout them years P was my only kind of release.
..I don't have that problem now though, it lasted for a couple months, many years ago

I think a lot of people here use the excuse that porn is why they have problems. I don't think porn abuse is the causation, but rather a correlation and a symptom to preexisting problems. When you start to do noFap, you get a lot of time to self-reflect and it gives you a chance to reflect on the choices you make. It's the thing that enables you to move your life in the direction you want to go, but it's an exaggeration that noFap will solve all your problems. Nofap is just a wake up call. I think it's a good thing, but I don't think everyone needs it. Like how some people become alcoholics, some people are able to enjoy alcohol responsibly and not let it control them. The people that come to noFap obviously don't have the self-control to stop watching porn and masturbating which is a problem. It's not because porn made them that way, we just didn't have the self-control or self-awareness that what we were doing was detrimental to our lives.

I think every individual would need try it out themselves to decide whether is it something they need and if it benefits them. So try it out, and after a month, if it has improved your life, keep doing it.

I think you should quit watching porn, obviously you feel guilty/uncomfortable/ashamed about what you are doing. What's the point of going through all that turmoil over something as insignificant as porn.

  15. If you got into it by using porn, it will likely go away if you stop using porn. That's what many here have reported.

The fact that you call it "gross" is telling.

My life not much still studying. Why was it the best decision because it sort of made me anti social. When I was using porn I didn't want to or had the confident to interact with others or even go out with anyone. My life was like study , porn , fap , sleep. After many years of PMO I wasn't happy with my life. Then I discover that it only took me within 2 min or less to ejaculate that was sign that I have to stop watching porn.

After joining nofap my life got better. I develop a healthier life style, have more confident to interact with others and engage in social activity. I feel like I want to go out and experience life rather than sit at home watching some Japanese girl and stroking my ####.

    well that's my story

Yeah obviously I've weighed up the pros and cons and thought seriously about it. But you said porn leads to death?..

I'll have to ignore the religious stuff cause that's an entirely different conversation.

I've got a tight lock on my boundaries now, the only thing they can do now is close and draw closer.

    I don't spend hours masturbating.

I don't go to sleep with horrible feelings around me. Especially since going more vanilla than usual. My dreams aren't filled with unhappy things.

I don't think all day about where my next PMO is gonna come from.

I don't refuse social interactions due to PMO. Although I think it may play a factor with being more introvert than I used to be. Maybe I just matured a little and not so "out of my shell" any more. Can't trust anyone and can't truly be yourself around the vast majority of people.

I'm not sure what fear and pain I'm pushing away through PMO. It's not that complex. I do it the same reason everyone else does. You got sexual needs and sometimes you just gotta use your hand to fulfil them.
