Do you also feel like you have been already abstinent for much longer than you actually are?

I have a week streak now and it feels like I was l at least 2 or 3 weeks without porn.

Also similarly when I dont look on my counter for some time, doing lot of things and suddenly I just realize gosh that's a long time from last time, it must be at least 1.5 month and then I look on my counter and it is only 3 weeks. But feel like much much longer.

Or when I am only 2 days without the porn it feels like already 4 or 5 days.
Why time flows so slow? Do you also feel abstinent for ages when it is only couple days or weeks?

  2. If you have used PMO so regularly, any time without it is bound to feel like a long time because your brain is simply not used to being away from it.

  3. Sometimes I feel this way. But sometimes I think "What's it been? 4 days?" Then I look at my counter and see 7. Nice when that happens.

It's a symptom of abstinence syndrome: You feel like time is running slower because your brain is not used to being away from the addictive, kinda like trying to force you to use it again by making days longer. I recommend you to invest this "extra time" on good stuff, like fixing the sink or painting a wall... I hope you can overcome this, my friend.

  5. How do you know his sink is broken?? Haha ;)

Entertainment / technology / social media / etc... conditions us to instantly get what we want, whenever we want, and as much as we want.

So when you're back in reality, things are a lot more difficult, uncertain, uncomfortable and chaotic.

Have not used PMO for past 5 days now and indeed, it feels like it is like 2 weeks ago i used PMO the last time, and what the guys above here are saying, seems logic to me that it seems longer since we used it everday and it is not the "normal routine for the brain"
