I felt exactly same reluctance to do it as when I was first thinking of deleting all porn from my computer about a year ago. But at the end it feels exactly as good as when I deleted all that porn. I know that it is just a first step but I feel more free now already.

It is time for me to learn to get dopamine only from natural sources for example from socializing, talking with people, hobbies, studying, walks in nature, exercising, reading, playing sports and getting the shit done.

  3. I would find that harder than it was to delete all my porn. You have me thinking now. Thanks a lot. I hate thinking. Me taking taking action is often preceded by thought. And I hate taking action even more than I hate thinking.

Seems like a hard thing to do, but if you feel games were unhealthy for you then I supposed you did the right thing. Fighting against both porn addiction and gaming addiction at the same time seems really tough, maybe taking one at a time is a better option?

Yeah it was not easy to do but I realized how much time I waste with games and I dont even remember that time at all, it all blurs. I have memories of other things I did mostly with other people that I will remember but I tried to look back on thousands of hours and there is not single I would remember. It was only quick pleasure to numb me at that time. Same as PMO, neither there I dont remember extra great time. It all just blur into one big time black hole out of which I dont have any memories.

Just quick question do you remember some awesome time from gaming that will stay in your memory all your life?
And when you will be 90 years old would you ever think back and wish you played more computer games when you were young or it will be something else?

I deleted my porn about 1.5 year ago, so that is not a new thing, moreover I deleted all my games from smartphone about month ago and still survived. I actually feel that it is a right way to combat it together because both of these addictions has the same root cause - lot of free time, not having right purpose, quality hobbies, quality friends and now is right time to change that and for that I need all the time I have and cannot waste it on games or anything else.

  7. There are some social gaming memories that stay with me and I recall with those friends sometimes. More the social part than the gaming part.

I've changed my gaming habits so I play games that are only interesting for a two or three hours a week. Friday or Saturday night maybe. So they're not having a big impact on me.

Good for you! Games are also a big thing for me, but I haven't thought about actually deleting the games on my computer.

I was thinking about it for about a week before I finally really did it. I realized that if I am serious about stop playing games, then I actually never need them again, and there is no point for them to be in my computer. Plus if you delete them, as a bonus, it is a great barrier to prevent you from quick relapse with them.

I will definitely consider deleting my games! I don't think it's bad to play a game once in a while, but they do give easy access to triggers.
