I know this is supposed to be rip roaring hilarious fun that "every guy" will understand. But to me, this is just sad. A man ruled by his desires is not much of a man at all. I hate how women seemingly wield sex as a kind if weapon, and I hate how men let that happen...

American humour is a misnomer to me. It is a kind of childish hysteria with lots of overacting in front of an audience whipped up into a kind of frenzy that will applaud and hoot at virtually every sentence uttered. Utterly puerile.

As to what the 'average guy' will do for sex, well it doesn't resonate with me at all. I am in my 40s, I am a virgin and I have never even had a fleeting notion about any of those top responses. This presenter is more than sad, he is just pathetic, and so are the people that said what they would do for sex. I am overjoyed that I am not a typical guy!

    Exactly Abel.

IGY. I definitely do not want to generalize either gender, but I hear it joked about in media and by real life couples so much I figure stuff like this is common.

  5. Why Would People Laugh at That Video. It Wasn't even Funny.Overacting, pure overacting. I Don't know How People Laugh at These Kind of jokes.People have Given a whole New Definition of Sex now-a-days. I Got to Show this Video to My Future Girlfriend some day.

There's no need to generalize "American" humor ... or Americans, for that matter. This is a stupid show with an annoying host that I don't find even remotely funny. I can't stand this show and the people on it are usually as annoying as the host. Humor is also subjective. Just because you don't find something funny doesn't mean it isn't. However, I agree with you in regards to this video.

I was so curious that I had to watch the video.
I'm an expatriot American. I grew up with this shit.
The way that I experience this stuff these days is that it is self-parody. Even if the self awareness is absent.
There isn't a culture existing that understands sex. Very few individuals understand sex. So it does surprise me that these things are held up as being "the way that it is". Many a true word said in jest.
Yes it's immature, base and ignorant. But it is pretty close to one of the ways that most people see sex these days

    Die?? WTF??

Since at work right now, I don't have sound, so I couldn't hear any explanation. The other one's I understand, even if they are sad and indicative of American culture's view of sex, but I don't understand 'die.'

I might die for love (still not likely) but for sex? What??

I don't know what you are going on about fapocalypse. I stated clearly that this is my personal point of view. You have a personal opinion about American humour, so you can hardly object that I have as well.

  11. the sex industry and hollywood and the t.v. shows have the same idea-sex sells.

And I was agreeing with you that it isn't funny. My point is, this isn't "American" humor like it's an all-encompassing creature. This is idiots on television.

Why are you going to mainstream entertainment designed for the lowest part of the population for what is "supposed" to be hilarious. This is just media that seeks to dumb human beings down you shouldnt even be watching this let alone laughing at it. It is more sad and pathetic than funny.

Right. That's what I said. I saw it posted on social media FYI. I don't find it funny at all.

Do you disagree that this is the view of MANY if not MOST people?

As a larger discussion, do you think that most people's view of sex is infantile and stunted? I don't know the answer, but it sure seems that way.

I'm European and we also have programs with 'easier to digest' content. Can anyone from the US please tell me at what time of the day this show airs? Here this stuff usually airs in the early afternoon when most people are working and students are studying. TV is a business - they want to sell advertising time. Usually the products in the ads in the afternoon differ markedly from what they advertise for in prime time shows and movies. Consider yourself happy that you are not the target audience of this program and ads.

From a certain age most people are mature enough to think and talk about sex rather objectively, that's at least the experience that I have made. But the occasions that built this experience have been rather scarce. I believe this scarcity of discussion about a topic that is still tabooed is because many (if not most) people's approach to sex as a topic is stunted, as you put it quite correctly. So, infantile: no; stunted: yes
