facebook Question

    my husband received a text from facebook that said.
    "Dieme's Facebook code is 5727 enter it on facebook now."

    Im thinking this is chat or porn related. Am I correct? has anyone seen something like this before?

    It sounds like part of two factor log-in authorization. You have to enter a code in addition to your password everytime you log-in. But the code changes each time. Is that his user name?

    no not his user name. his phone number is linked to his account though .

    its only happened once..I though it was just as you are saying . until I reread the message and saw the name.

    just stating the obvious: it's a 2nd FB account. more suckage. maybe make a fake account yourself and try to friend him?!?!? dunno, maybe not. he needs a 4x4 to the head to wake up.

    I think it's an authorisation code for the secret message system on FB unfortunately. My daughter and I tested how it worked and when you start a secret conversation you get a code to match to check it's the right person you're talking to.

    In FB messenger app, if you click on someone in your list, then in the upper right corner click the little 'i' circle, in the options that open up is "secret conversation." Then you can start a conversation with that person that only exists on that particular device.
