Is there a supplement (or will quitting porn help me hugely) that will help me be more fun to be around and to communicate better with others?

I sometimes struggle with being social and being fun to be around and thought that I could do with improving the way I interact with others. I get the feeling that it's a partly inherited trait from my father. It's not through lack of confidence (I don't think) and it's not that I don't have a good (small) core of friends, but it would be great to be a bit more fun around them, as well as attract the friendship of others. I can't help but being a bit too serious and / or not able to have more light hearted conversations / keep the conversation going.

Furthermore, thinking about the way I currently feel, I feel like I'm lacking in Dopamine, Seratonin and Oxytocin. Does anyone have any methods to boost them?

Regarding supplements; whilst I'm sure that there are products available, let's run an experiment first. Quit pornography first and monitor how you feel. I think that a month without pornography/fapping is a good enough sample size to evaluate how you feel - this may mean that after a month you decide that supplements are not the way to go.

Dopamine reserves will be low due to your break from pornography, especially if you've conditioned your brain to search for stimuli when you're low - it's all pleasure with no responsibility. This should rise naturally as you seek other pleasures/entertainment sources.

The longer you abstain from urges to view porn/masturbate, your Serotonin will naturally increase. Serotonin is helpful in regulating mood and tracking your own status in group situations. You may find yourself becoming more relaxed and as a result being able to have the light-hearted conversations you crave.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Giuoco,
Many thanks for your reply, really appreciate it. That all sounds good to me. At the moment, my other (definitely better) half is away working for a while, and so I'm home alone and I'm well aware that it's a potentially dangerous situation to be in, as there's no one about to chat to, and so boredom can set in. That and it's all too easy to slip into feeling quite lonely. Just need to stay strong I guess, and I'll have periods where I'm away working myself, so will be busy.

    Hey man, no worries.

How you're feeling is completely normal. If you want to chat then I'm sure there's plenty of folks on here who can relate.
