How Bad Is Solo?

Actually it was fine. Amusing, and full of energy, until a point. I didn't pay for it, but it wasn't like I felt it wasted my time (like Alien: Covenant, or Assassin's Creed, or ScarJo's Ghost in the Shell)

I actually liked it a bit. Fell a little flat at some points, but overall, it was a fun sci-fi adventure.
Way better than some other Star Wars movies I've seen lately.

I liked it. I’d see it again.

 

It was awful. The characters were boring and stupid (who goes down into an alien biosphere with no protective gear, only weapons?). The highlights were cobbled together from other parts of better Alien movies, and there was a logical inconsistency that made me leave the theater livid rather terrified.
Like no one was asking for Alien: Genisys but by God, we got it anyway.

 

It was not terrible but the plot has plenty of holes in it. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

 

It was fine. My problem with it is that it could’ve been a stand alone action movie pretty much with any sort of backstory. This just didn’t seem to feel like it needed to be a part of Star Wars. They pretty much relied on the fact that we know who most of the characters are and that was the character development. Oh remember those dice you see? Well, here’s a quick scene to show why they’re so important. Like I said, it was fine, but it definitely ranks pretty much at or near the bottom if the list as far as Star Wars movies are concerned.

 

Well considering the fact that Disney chose a softcore porn actress to play a lead role in the film, I'm guessing it's probably pretty bad..

 

I honestly didn't want to see it but I had to because my parents forced me lol. The trailer didn't look all that appealing and the movie was shit anyways. The only things I liked about the movie were Darth Maul's cameo and L337's death. Other than that, it wasn't really worth the ticket.

 

I agree, I'd rather watch Soylo then say... *cough *cough The Last Jedi.

 

Lol what? Are you talking about Game of Thrones? I mean, I agree there's a lot of sex in that show and I would never watch it, but to refer to her as a softcore porn actress is ridiuclous. She's a great actress and has done many things. She's not a porn star by any means. Plenty of actors do sex scenes. That's doesn't make them "porn actors."

Anyway, I liked Solo just fine. It wasn't anything special, really, but I wasn't bored.

 

Definitely true. That's the issue, as a creator, with sequels or prequels. It's very tempting to just keep running with the same idea and same characters for as long as you can milk it, because it's a lot easier. Because, as you said, you don't have to do much character development at all. That's also the appeal to fanfiction.

This is ridiculous. You do realize studios hire body doubles right? Actors simulating sex for a movie or TV show is nowhere near as graphic as porn.
