Burning sensation? Is this supposed to happen?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums so forgive me if my question doesn't belong here or if it's a bit lengthy, but this issue has me concerned a bit so any input is greatly appreciated. Anyhow, I'm 19 years old and I've noticed that whenever I go a few days/weeks or month (my longest streak has been a month) without PMO I sometimes experience a burning sensation in my urethra as well as a feeling of having to urinate even though I don't really need to. Typically it starts off abruptly, I go to urinate and when my stream starts it's met with a shooting type of pain, then when I finish urinating the burning sensation in the urethra kicks in along with the feeling of having to urinate again. It's a very uncomfortable feeling, and it usually lasts no more than an hour but there have been times where the sensation lingers around more mildly. It also seems to happen more frequently when I drink a lot of water/liquid as I have to urinate more because of it. The strange thing is, I notice this only occurs when I'm PMO free. When I relapse and am regularly masturbating again it doesn't happen, almost as if ejaculating keeps it at bay or something. This first started happening about a year ago, probably even longer maybe. And this doesn't happen all the time, sometimes I don't experience this for weeks or months but when I don't it's usually in a period when I'm regularly masturbating, as I said. I've been to the doctors for general checkups and when I have the urinalysis I haven't had any kind of infection. I'm also concerned that this will hinder my No PMO/Reboot as that's when it pretty much always kicks in. Is this some sort of reboot symptom? Prostate issue? Does it sound serious? Has anybody else experienced something like this in their reboot journey?

  2. It could be Prostatitis or kidney stones, maybe even something else. Do you have a history of edging?

I doubt it's kidney stones, I think it would have been a lot easier to tell if it were and it constantly linger around regardless of PMO'ing or not. Though I have suspected Prostatitis before, but who am I to say so. When I'm PMO free I don't edge, though when I'm not I usually do.

  4. Whatever the case, it's probably inflammation related.

    Stop edging. Good luck.

Thanks, though I'm aware of what edging can do. It's just weird how this pretty much only happens when I'm PMO/Edge free.

I'm still here. And unfortunately no, I haven't found any solution. Though I will say that I haven't experienced what I described in my post for months. Maybe it's because I've been in a constant state of relapse. I'm starting a new reboot, so who knows, I might face this issue again. All I can say is that during my longest PMO free streak (3 months), I didn't seem to feel the sensation as bad as I have before. I seemed to have a period in the beginning of that streak where I felt the sensation mildly linger around but as I pushed further into it it seemed to wander off; so just keep pushing. I'd also recommend a healthy diet and to be physically active. Drink natural cranberry juice. Honestly part of me feels as if this burning sensation is mental since it's always on the back of my mind when I'm PMO free. It's weird, I don't know what causes it. As someone else pointed out, it might be inflammation/prostate related. My final advice is to get checked up by a doctor just to rule anything out. I'll be happy to answer any other questions. I know that burning sensation is tough, feels like hell. Good luck.
