To avoid misconceptions, I'm not suicidal and I'm not insecure.I love life with all of the flaws, even if I'm going trough hard times there's always something to learn from.I think that this text might be a bit bumfuzzled and disorganized, because I want to write my thoughts spontaneous down.Im also not that good at english, some words might be out of place.

So I noticed that I feel harmony with life and myself when I think about death. Not dieing, death itself. It all makes sense in a weird way.Death is the boon and bane of life, or is it even a part of it?Or is it a new chapter?I started thinking about this because one user asked if one believes in an afterlife.I don't think that there's an afterlife, I never thought about it since I was a child. But back than I was a devout christian and sometimes I thought that it doesn't matter what we do in our world because we will happy in the afterlife anyway.Know I think different, even if an afterlife exists where anybody is happy and everything is fine (which would be quite boring sometimes if you ask me), I even want to explore the world with the opportunities that I have.I really respect my mother, she never fears the death.I apprehend the dieing process, but I am pretty courious about the afterlife. Its just so beautiful and horrible at the same time, wether we life a good or bad life (but who assesses that?) we will all die, it just makes so much sense! It's the guiding thread trough the history of mankind, it connects generations thousands of years ago and us!That's so amazing if I think about it.The time we have on earth is a gift. And even if we struggle with corporal and mental pain, we can make the best out of it.Let's emphasise this with an example:Stephen Hawkings, diagnosed with ALS in the age of 21 years, he just started his scholastics. But the turned the disadvantage into a signature feature, he still got kids, woman and success in science. There were many men and woman in the history of mankind who were powerful and influential, but there were also dead losses and blighters.Thats the thing that fascinates me the most, wether you had an amazing or a awful life, as I said many times before, we will all die.And that's so oddly satisfying.

I think we often forgot to think about questions like that, in times where distractions are all arround you.I also think that the lack of masturbation and lust can lead to philosophical thoughts like these, so it isn't even that off-topic.What do you think of the topic?Do you feel uncomfortable if you think about death or not?

I think death is a blessing in disguise (again, I am not suicidal).

    Think about it.

Imagine, we all lived forever..This would be our future lasts forever. Eventhough, we all know that we all are gonna die someday, that doesnot stop people from worrying about the future. Therefore, endless future would mean endless worries.

If humans lived forever, then people would only focus on making money (to have a secured future which is endless) and in the process would not enjoy the present (also, not enjoy life.). Endless future would mean Bill Gates and other philanthropists would stop share their wealth for the betterment of the world and focus only on adding more 0s to their bank account.

Being aware that we will die someday gives us the freedom to live life to the fullest.

Indeed, that's true. The new generation can also fix the problems that you did, just like you fixed the problems the older generation did.I find this whole circle very fascinating, it reminds me of Buddhism.

  4. I feel comfortable with the thought of death. To me, it's a reminder that some day I will finally be at total peace. I think of it as a wonderful never ending sleep. I don't think I would ever be suicidal unless I were to find out that I was immortal. But I don't think I have to worry about that since I'm starting to feel old age coming on strong.

Ah, a man who is conversant on latin and history.I appreciate it.
That's healthy for your life.Accepting death as a part of it and cherish it.

  7. I feel comfortable with the thought of death, too.
I don´t like the thought to be dead one time, and I really fear the moment of dying.
But the idea of being immortal makes me feel like everything to be arbitrary. Repeatable, dull. Life to me is worth living in the knowledge of an end, it makes every second unique and precious.

We can think the infinite, and know our own mortality. We see the limits, and yet envisage something beyond them. As they say - where there's smoke, there's fire.

When I think of death, I often think of what is was like before I were born. I didn’t exist for 13.7 billion years.
And once I die... I will not exist again for even longer than 13.7 billion years... I won’t exist for 100 billion years... and so on. That is really hard for me to wrap my head around.

All interesting friend. And respect you're thought . Me: no man! NOT DEAD. I want to leave forever . I don't belive we suppose to died. I think that the same energy, living thing creature that is behind porn and war and drugs and violence and suffering and sickness and all that staff. Is the same guy that is behind Dead. And just like porn. It mess with our mind and we try to come up with weird concepts to try to justify it because he want us to think is normal so he can still surviving. But I know that light always win and that the future of life here on earth is going to be different. With me or without me is going to happen. I which I Learn how to be there.

Well when you take into account that the universe is possibly infinite. It’s mathematically possible that eventually, if given enough time. That it will happen again.

I’ll give you an example. There is hundreds of billions of galaxies, maybe more. In each of those galaxies there are billions of stars. Each of which have multiple planets orbiting them. It’s mathematically impossible for earth to be the only planet of its kind. Somewhere out there, there will be a planet that looks identical to ours.

So my point is. If we just got thrust into existence (conciousness) out of nowhere. Once we die. Whose to say we won’t be thrust into conciousness again... whether it’s in 5 years or 500,000,000.
If it happened once, it can happen again. Do I believe it will? No probably not. But here’s to hoping!

You said :It’s mathematically impossible for earth to be the only planet of its kind"

How is that mathematically? What's the math?

Well because given the sheer size of the universe. The amount of planets inside of it. It’s only a matter of time before you come across a planet that is exactly like ours.

Stephen Hawkings said something similar but instead about extra terrestrial life. He said that even if life is this extremely rare thing. If it already happened once here on Earth, it is mathematically impossible for us to be the only ones that it has happened to.

Snow flakes are all differents. To put just on of many examples. I think that there's no real base on that math. I don't see it necessarily that because the are many, some of them have to be the same.. What does make me think, it's that makes total since that's behind the design, have to be a Creator.. A surprise me how many people choose to belive in human philosophies, full of mostly guesses created with a imperfect brain. And refuse to belive in a Creator.. I find it fascinating jet nonsense in my personal opinion. I don't see the connection . As far as I can see with my eyes.. It wouldn't be so hard for that higher power to create billions or trillions of anything and be completely different and unique

Yes snowflakes are all different. But you’re missing the point. The universe is possibly infinite. Meaning never ending.

If you have a small place full of snowflakes. It’s likely that all of them will be different. But if you have an infinite amount of snowflakes. Eventually you will find another one that is exactly the same. And then another one, and another one. Because it’s infinite.

You said people choose to believe in human philosophies created with an imperfect brain. You do realise that all religions were created with the same “imperfect brain” you just spoke about...
Science has already proved that the universe doesn’t need a creator.

At least with say science or philosophy, there’s some evidence/truth with it.

Why having an infinite amount of snowflakes. Eventually you will find another one that is exactly the same. And then another one, and another one. Because it’s infinite.? Like you said. Well. And in my personal experience ... The more I learn from science, the more I believe in a Creator. Many of us agree and many disagree. Sounds like we might are in those two groups.. But any ways. I really hope we both quit the crap that we are addicted to it.. Keep fighting this war my brother.

  18. Unique perspective.

Was thinking of NDEs myself just now that certainly makes me enthusiastic for some reason. Mystified even

I have had three OOBEs two of which were aided with more drugs given by nurses to me in the ER but no NDE in this lifetime.

Anybody had a NDE? Out of body? Nobody?

    Two OOBEs one NDE

We are immortality enjoying the pleasure of a mortal experience, life is beautiful because it has an end, don't rush it guys, enjoy the ride, darkness can be as beautiful as light, and happiness exist because so does sorrow.

Strive to be happy, but as the word imply, sometimes the effort can be tough, even overwhelming.

Remember, the sweetest fruits come from trees with very bitter roots.

No NDEs, but three intense OOBEs. Meditation gave two, sleep gave the third.

If anything, it taught me the futility of suicide, the beauty in madness, the power of infinity so close yet far from my delusion loving mind. A fun amount of lessons to learn as others cannot know it, only believe it or not.
