Since starting, I feel like I have more time and energy to do other things, but I can't motivate myself to do anything. Any ideas? (I can't exercise right now because of a leg injury.) At some point will it become clear to me what I want to do or do I just need to start doing things? I think I've used porn/masturbation as a way of avoiding doing more interesting, healthy, creative, productive things in my life...

I'm still working to establish new habits so I get what you are going through. Since 40 days or so ago, I also started using the internet as a tool to learn the things I like.

What is it you want to learn? Figure this out first, and it will give you motivation to find the resources you need. The reboot will give you more mental clarity and it will give you the extra thinking time to figure this out. BUT it's up to you to finally "do" things. I've done both, from experimenting and briefly touching on lot's of things to now focusing 3-6 months and probably a year on just a few.

That makes sense. Not fapping gives me my time and energy and desire to do things back, but it's not going to tell me what to do... Right now I find myself just endlessly browsing the internet, reading the news, etc. Need to find one or a few things that are more productive, creative, or fulfilling.

Great advice. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out the right way to spend my time. Instead, just do anything, and that will create momentum to do other things, and then maybe I'll discover the things I really want to do. I have a tendency to overthink everything, when I probably need to be more active in any kind of way.

Personally I have blocked youtube as well as many other time consuming sites. I find the internet fairly addictive as well. It might not be a good idea but you could try to kinda funnel your dopamine chase to less and less stimulating things, for example you given up porn and now you endlessly browse the web. Maybe try prohibiting yourself from browsing the web for more than an hour per day and play slower paced videogames instead. Then after a while you can remove that as well. I think the longer you go without PMO the easier it will be for you to fill up your time because you will have more motivation and you will know what to do. Here's a couple of things you could do. Learn to play an instrument, read a book, start cooking all your own meals, learn linux/*bsd, start programming, play through the whole metal gear solid series from start to finish, go travel around where you live and visit typical tourist locations if there are any, if you have a car just drive wherever the road takes you.

You may read too. It would be really helpful in this stage of progress. I'm reading right now "superhuman by habit", it's just 5 bucks on Amazon and I deeply recommend you. There are lots of auto help books that are really great and may give you that boost of energy you need.

This is what I am trying to do in my free time,

    1. Call and Talk to friends/family - Most of my friends are in different town. So, i will just call them and talk about something like how was their day, what they are doing recently,etc..,
    2. Hit the gym. Whenever i have the urge I am just trying to get up and go to the gym.
    3. Read books/online blogs. Trying to cultivate reading habit.
    4. Try to cook something. I am not big cook. I will just see online recipe and start cooking.

Those are some really good ones. I would also like to add trying out a musical instrument. I'm trying to learn the harmonica. Or, trying immersing yourself in a building project. Go to http://www.instructables.com/index, they got a ton of do-it-yourself projects there. I would recommend it.
