    Hello guys

I'm on day 6 and just wondering about the healing time period, I have been addicted for 10 years from age (14 year old till now 24 years old)
I know the idea of nofap is to give up the addiction to be a better person, and to rewire and get the hard erection back to have a confidence

    my question is

how long it takes take to complety heal if you are a 10 years porn fapper?

I think people have heard that silly question before and its answer to go for 90 days and see!

I don't believe that the more years you spent on porn needs more time and takes longer and I want your opinion on that based on an example of comparing two guys

lets assume if we have two guys:

    - The 1st guy was addicted for 10 years (who started when he was 15 and now he is 25)

    - The 2nd guy was addicted for 15 years (started when he was 10 and now he is 25)

now the age is not a factor in this example because both are 25 years old

    - both guys have PIED (week morning wood) on the same level so that both cannot be turned on when they try to have sex

    the question becomes

    * Do both of those guys have the same period to heal or at least close to each other?

if we think about it it doesn't depend on the number of years they watched porn it's about a weak erection and a wrong wired brain.

we know the difference between those guys in watching porn is 5 years

    * How does that difference between the years the guys spent on porn affect the healing then?

it doesn't make sense for the 10-years fapper to take 3 months and the other
    15-years fapper to take a 12 months!

    I'm I right?

    waiting for real answers

You have a 1-year heroin addict and a 2-week heroin addict. For who will it be harder to get rid of his addiction?

    Complete Healing takes 3-5 years.
The 90days reboot is a stepping stone.

what about those who spent decade(s) on PIED and completely healed within 3-6 months? There must be a lot of stories as I read in this website!

The answer is simple, heroin is a drug and fapping is a sexual pleasure. addiction at the same time yes, but What's true about heroin doesn't necessarily be true for other addictions. I was alcohol addicted from 2012 (when I was 18) to 2015 (when I was 21) I quit at the end of 2015. I returned to alcohol the last year on 2017 (I was 23) for a year and it was hardest than the 1st quitting experience!

Only 6% of people who start, become porn free for life.
    6%.
How much do you want to bet that most people who stop after 6 months relapse?
being "dry drunk" off porn isn't healing.
    It's a lifestyle change.... Not a workout.

the goal is being porn free yes and it's not a workout as you said but my question was about a comparison for more years of porn, when does a healthy erection come back for a one who has a goal of being porn-free guy! assuming he's included in the 6% which I don't know where you got that statistic from!

again a new example what do you think of two guys who spent 10 years on porn and one healed at the end of 1st year and the other on healed on month 9. both of their goals a lifesyle change and have sex. In this context I mean the erection I don't mean "being completely healed from porn 3-5 years"!

There are many institutions that will tell you that.
And PIED takes up to 2+ years to heal.
But if you don't believe me... Maybe you will listen to Alexander Screenshot_20170817-070227.png

does that mean for a a guy who spent 3-5 years and completely healed should wait (365days*3 years) to (365 days*5years ) to get a morning wood!

It took my SO a year and a half.
    But, your milage may vary.
I know a few guys here who keep relapsing and are years post "starting reboot" without wood.
Their stories are in the Sexual dysfunctions section

if you think about it, humans should get the semen out each time they're turned on. I don't believe that a relapse is a bad think unless if you use porn. of course the best relapse is a sexual encounter. but there must be an average period of "only months" not passing a year to get the wood back. when you have sex and in morning. We know that the plan is quitting porn but how long do nerves and veins physically fully regenerated. As I heared on "your brain on porn" with Gary Wilson who built a website and did lot of voice records and TED videos in youtube talked about the addiction based on lot of research and studies from guys which will give us a basic and getting the libedo back he says the average is 3-5 months sometimes people take less or more than that a little bit which make sense. Assuming is the brain is porn-free. Which means if someone took 2 years to have the wood back, he might be an exception but we don't know. We care about the majority of samples of guys and statistics. And it's wrong to see an experience from a guy and generlize that to all people!

after 3 years it must be impossible to watch porn and you'll feel it weird and unhealthy on the 1st year there might be a chance to go back to porn. This is not our topic. the topic is about the erection because once u get the morning wood u will be trying to have a real partner. Impossible to wait for 3-5 years just to meet someone and have a successful sex!!

he's maybe right we don't know, but we need official studies and statistics that are done by people who spent years figuring out porn addiction and treatment based on the majority of samples of guys who are nofappers!

Right, well then you call the CDC and NIDA (both who's parent organization is US department of health) and get statistics that they have been gathering since the 80s on porn and sex addiction.
Since I clearly don't know what I'm talking about.

If 6% only became porn free for life, the rest is not one type of people

    The rest = 100% - 6% = 94% of people,

those are types, there should be lot of them watching porn from time to time without affecting the real sex much compared to others who are addicted everyday who cannot have real sex.

    Let's finish by this hope:
we hope the recovery of everyone to be as fast as it could be, after a real sex, we can manage oursleves to not watch everyday as we addicted now.

You are wrong. That is wrong. No one can find out that percentage. It isn't accurate. It's impossible. You are wrong.

  19. Even if it's only 6% (which seems terribly low and random), if there are 170000+ members on this forum, and let's say that 100000 of them are addicts, then 6000 people get healthy. I can deal with that, and I'll be one of them, screwing any biased statistics in my way.
