For the last 23 days I am happy that I have joined this community, reading the success stories, gaining wisdom and information which helps me with my progress. I take great pleasure giving praise to all of you for your success stories, encouraging each other when things are going great and when things are rough, while trying to give good advice whenever possible.

However without regrets, I feel that I have become addicted to NoFap because I spend many hours a day on the site. But that does not mean I will quit visiting and answering once in a while. I still consider you brothers and still need to log in. But maybe just 15 minutes a day.

Just wanted to know, when you visit this page, do you spend 15 minutes, an hour or more? And how many times a week?

Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow. It is a beautiful Saturday and so much to do, while being free of PMO of course. Thank you for answering and have a good weekend.

  2. I know that feeling. You go on the site in anticipation for those tasty notifications, then excitement strikes when someone replies or likes your message, reinforcing it. I find it annoying when your going about your business and a thought about someone responding to you pops in you head.

I'm definitely addicted to the place and plan to give it a break when I get three or four months under my belt.

  3. It's to be expected. Nofap is social media and social media is addictive. Looking at my counter keeps me on point and holds me accountable when I relapse but I tend to come back for the political and social debates. Ill log in a few times a day and spend about 15 minutes but even that is too much. This site can be helpful but taking on a different addiction dosent help when youre trying to get out of an addicted head space.

  4. I come on here, & could get addicted but my life is busy enough that no media can ever get a hold of me for a long time. I say limit, & make your life busy.

Be careful of any digital compulsion.

    Not conducive to recovery.

    Never say never.

Unless you are a master of yourself.

I can see you are not from a mile away no offense.

  7. It doesnt work like that. If it did, none of us would have a need for NoFap to begin with.

  8. Mastery is a choice in which I will reach. I can confidently say never because I shall never allow it to be the case that I get addicted to a nofap form. I am confident enough in myself to say that genuinely.

  9. Well I hate to disagree but I have to say that is incorrect. Staying busy & working on your personal life is the cure for any addiction. In fact I say addiction is mostly a mental state. Due to isolation. As long as I'm living right no addiction can seduce me, & what can not seduce, can hold no power.

    Doubtful. As @Trappist says:

'Abandon all Hope all ye enter here'

    ^I'm sure they meant 'nofap.'

  11. I agree use of any social media can be compulsive, however if you're doing the right things in life you should be able to stop anything of your own accord, I plan to use this significantly less once my streak is going high for example. The key is doing what you ought to when you ought to. & to stop making excuses. I realize though you're saying this out of a desire of keeping me realistic, & I thank you for that, nevertheless I've always been the optimistic type. I believe anything that you believe you can achieve you can do! That's been my experience & I have no excuse for poor behavior other than a corrupt desire to do so. (This is the Napoleon Hill in me talking, I recently binged his old recordings.)

Well done. Spoken like a true 15 year old. I happen to think nofap is the social media for the misfits who don't fit in on Facebook. Soon we all realise we have similar problems. That's the worst, when you realise that. Those that get away from here are the lucky ones.

The sane ones that stay simply act like the guy from 'Plato's Cave.'

I like to believe I'm the above, but the reality is I could just be a social misfit! Haha.

I do admit that the notifications are always tempting to log on, but everyday also has new questions for me since I never quit PMO for such a long time. You want to read more about the benefits and the side effects as well. Sometimes you have questions that can be answered by experts. But yes, there is an ego thing that makes me answer everyday. Wishing you well to accomplish 4 months under the belt.

  14. Likes equals dopamine. You know we all feel that little rush when we log in and see that little red box with the alerts. It's really on once you find out someone liked and quoted that smart ass reply you just came up with!

  15. I admit to spending way too much time on this site when I was newer here, but I've fixed that. Today, I go days without checking in here because life has much more to offer than this site does.

    Rather than watching porn
But yes doing something productive is a better option

And I do agree that it is better to be here than visiting porn sites.

Yeah, I've just started and just found that i've taken to coming on here every time I get the urge to PMO. If I'm not careful, I could completely replace this habit with an albeit less severe habit.
