    OMG. I’ve heard of brain fog and I guessed what it meant but I just looked it up properly now. YES! I’ve definitely experienced that (and still probably am) but like many pains, it’s temporary. Just let it do it’s business and ride it out. It’s only a matter of time my friend

    Checking in, tbh its been almost 7 months since I’ve logged in and a continuous struggle at that. I hope you found your peace and accountability, I’ve decided to push for getting back into this forum and group.

    Hi, thanks for checking in. I think we have to accept that this struggle is a part of our lives and identity. What I’ve learned lately is that no matter how well I do, the addict lays dormant. Hence my recent relapses reverted me back to my old ways. But having acheived success before, make me want to achieve it again. So here I go one more time...

    How to Make NOFAP Work

    1. Daily Mindfulness Sessions is key to making this work
    2. Making a commitment to get rid of porn and masturbation forever. (never do it again, it will suck you right back in fast)
    3. Have a reason why (family,hitting financial goals, do more with life and constantly remind yourself of why you are doing this)
    4. Read the book - "The power of habits" understand cues, behavior, and rewards.
    5. Find other behaviors/habits to replace the bad ones. Reading books, socializing, working out, meditation, building a business, etc

    I honestly can say this is the most inspiring story I have came across yet I’ve been able to learn and actually feel your energy it’s wonderful to see someone else’s success and really appreciate it and apply this new found knowledge to my own journey

    So far so good. Living with my GF helps (since the covid lockdown). It means I’m conscious of someone else’s presence at home and not being alone generally means I look after myself better. Because my downfalls will affect her. Thanks for asking.

    Are u still Experienceing the benefits U posted in this Original post??? I am close to 5 months but not having any beneifis.. I am very self concious while talking to others.. feel struck while walkimg in front of other?? Will nofap cure it???& when?

    Yes I definitely do. Whether nofap is entirely to credit or just intertwined with other underlying issues that I faced, I don’t know. But it’s the first step towards self-control and self-improvement.

    Good to hear it .... But I am having insane Mood swings.. like one day I am intensly depressed and anxious then otherday I am super happy. .. I was fearing I had bipolar.. but i dont think it changes mood this quickly.. And Having Huge brain fog.. feel like zombie .. cant remember what happened yesterday.. cant do calculation :( its really depressing ......

    By ‘liking’ your comment, I acknowledge it. I don’t like what you’re going through either. Have you considered professional help or anything? The best thing about nofap for me has been the journey of self-control and self-improvement that it commences. I have no shame now in reaching out for help, cause I’ll do whatever it takes now to make me a better person. You don’t have to struggle on your own. Reach out and explore everything you’re feeling. It helped me. Fap is just one of many potential issues we have.

    I have seen here people experiencing same thing and nofap healed all these problem
    .. I was a excessive fapper like 4-5 times daily... And since last year it was like 7-8 times daily.. and since last year this concentration problem increased .. and now I am 5 months clean.. I feel rapid mood swings... Which I never experienced.. I think its all due to my compulsive fapping... And I believe Nofap heal it.? What do u think... ??

    Possibly. But I also think it’s worth looking into other parts of your lifestyle. Well done on 5 clean months though. That’s incredible compared to the multiple daily faps.

    how did u face ur triggers.?? I get aroused even with glimpse of any movie actress or hot women.. Even if i see any good looking actress in movies or family shows.. i get urged... now I am hardcorely avoiding any glimps... till 4th month in this streak i decided to look everything and face my triggers..so that it dosent trigger me anymore because i couldn't live like monk i wanyed to go to movies with friends,watch my favorite shows .. . but everytime i was seeing them i was getting triggered ,though i didnt gave in but I thought Its still giving me dopamine ..And now when I decided to not face trigger I feel I didnt progress beacause dopamine would have rushed ... Ur views in this ??

    Be very careful here. Watch your mind at play. Cause sometimes you think it’s you talking, when actually it can be your addiction. For example, I used say to myself: “I wonder how strong I am now with abstinence? Let me watch something to test myself...” Before I knew it, I failed the test by relapsing. So I don’t test myself now. Cause life will do all the testing I need as we’re always facing various social situations.
