Sleeping aid

  1. I take half a lorazepam before bedtime to help me sleep. I found that if I don't sleep well in the night I'm more likely to have an anxiety during the day. Does anyone use a sleep aid? What is the pros and cons of it?

  2. I posted this list elsewhere, most of it taken during the day

    Multivitamin with everything included (daytime)
    B vitamin complex (daytime)
    Magnesium (day or night)
    Ashwagandha
    Turmeric and black pepper
    Hemp CBD oil under the tongue (daytime)
    Lavender oil (dont underestimate this stuff, I think Linalool is potent) drug name Silexan
    Lemon balm (before bed)
    Chamomile (before bed)
    Kelp iodine (daytime)
    Valerian and hops tincture before bed some nights
    Holy basil (tulsi) day or night
    200 - 500 mg of L-Trypytophan before bed some nights
    Melatonin, low dose might work, do not take with tryptophan i think
    Some anti allergy drugs might help make you drowsy

    Try not to take benzos too often, not trying to worry you, but really do try to limit the use

    Warning, if you're on ssri or serotonin meds be careful with tryptophan

    Also, it's not the lack of sleep that hurts you, it's worrying about the lack of sleep

    To be honest, i think america is too much on drugs.

    I have all kinds of withdrawals (but, beside for 5 or 6 night in total, i have no problem sleeping), now i have pain in the legs, my back, all my skull hurts, my teeths, my gums.

    I have a really bad rhinitis (i can't breathe some nights) wich get worst and worst in the last 100 days (i think it's no pmo withdrawal related), and all kind of psychological up n down, but still i don't take any kind of drugs and i don't want to.

    I think a low dose of melatonin would be best (max 2 mg deending on how hard it is for you to fall asleep), the reason being that melatonin is what makes us sleep naturally. Most people who can't fall asleep can't because they are not quite awake when they should be. During the day seratonin is key to making you feel awake and as light intensity drops (sunlight triggers seratonin production) seratonin is turned by our bodies into melatonin so what you should do is try to get as much sunlight as possible and when going outside is not an option (because of stuff you have to do) you could take some melatonin. This way of using melatonin won't fuck up your brain like benzos or other sleep drugs do because you are basically putting something in your body that was actually supposed to be there in the first place. I had pretty bad sleeping problems until I started doing this and now if I can't get enough sunshine i take half of a sleeping pill that contains 1.5mg of melatonin and a bunch of other medicinal plant extracts which help relaxing so that's about 0.7-0.8 and it always sends me directly into dreamland

    I've had all the pain you describe. Acupuncture and the supplements listed in the post above helped.

    Did you have rhinitis? I read about that only from chinese no fapper, i thought it was pretty rare. My rhinitis is quite bad, i've been to the emergency room in august, couldn't breath, had a panic attack.

    I have rhinitis tho it's very mild. I had quite a lot of lung sicknesses when i was younger and in the meanwhile i picked up smoking(worst decision of my life maybe) so my respiratory system is pretty bad. You could try giving oregano tea a shot, I tried it a few times and as soon as i finished drinking the thing I would almost instantly start breathing a lot easier.

    I had it for ten years. Never associated it with PMO. My rhinitis is almost gone now. I still have a bit of pressure behind the eyes, but it is getting better daily. The symptoms the Chinese fapstronaut described mirror mine almost exactly. I think after another 2 acupuncture appointments I'll lb in good shape. Not cured, but on my way.

    If you decide to do acupuncture let them know everything or they are going to have a hard time helping you.
