    Hello people
I am 16 yo boy. I am suffering from so many things that I literally think I am going to kill myself soon. I suffer from acne, hairloss, seborrhoeic dermatitis (dandruff), anxiety, headaches all throughout the day and exhaustion. I can't sleep well and I'm always worried.

So my question is will nofap reduce any of these? I'm just so hopeless. Things are getting out of hard and worse every single day. I am constantly thinking about my receding hairline. I just want it to end.

Hi mate. That's tough at 16. Unfortunately, I don't think it's something you can control. By doing NoFap, you're taking control over one aspect of your life, and making a positive change. Will probably help with the acne too.
Worrying is understandable, but ultimately wasted time and energy. It's hard not to worry though... Unless you try mindful meditation. It has helped me greatly. Reducing worry and therefore stress, may make positive changes to your physical health. Download an app like Headspace or Calm, and give it go both have free trials.
Finally have you given cold showers a go? Completely got rid of my dandruff.

Hey @APositiveMan, everything may feel shit right now but it will get better I promise you. Have you been to the doctors about any of your issues?

Porn creates a really big negative cloud in our heads that can damage our self-esteem and have knock-on effects to our health. NoFap is a great way to build self-esteem by taking control over your body - it shows real mental strength.

Diet is a major factor in all of the ailments that you've described. Do you think your diet could be improved? Dairy was 100% the cause of my acne and I didn't realise it for sooooo long - within a month of cutting out milk and chocolate my cystic acne had gone. I'm completely dairy and spot free now (you can get used to alternative milks quickly if you still want milk).

I have tried going fully vegan for a month... Nothing changed. My biggest fear is my hair. I don't really care about the acne because it's not that bad. I got like 10 pimples but not more on my face. I got the receding hairline and I'm so worried about that. I'm in age that look is important and I don't know what I'm gonna do if I go bald :/

I've been to tons of dermatologists and it's always the same. The last one gave me 6 products to buy for which i gave like 125 euros and not even one of them did its job

Good work on going vegan for a month, even if it didnt give the desired effect!

Hair loss is a really tough one. Its a cruel trick of natire that men tend to lose their hair. Its like losing your identity. Keep looking for solutions but it may be the case that hair loss is going to be a part of your life. Hair is just hair, if you can think on this enough and try to see the bigger picture tou'll be able to see that life goes on without hair. I'm not saying its easy because it is devastating, but you'll learn to live with it.

And believe me, looks are important for all ages.

Im just in the beginning. Doctors have told me that it's not that much im afraid it can go further. They dont even notice it if i dont start talkin bout it and inspect it closely. Ill try minoxidil 5%and see if it works

Women think bald men are attractive. This is a masculine look. All the bald guys I know have attractive wives. Just saying.

TBH, I wasn't going to go there… as it's a personal thing… BUT, @FranktheTank7 is right – there are worse things for a man than going bald. If it's getting to a point where 'covering up' your hair loss isn't working – bite the bullet and shave it off . Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Bruce Willis, Kelly Slater, Michael Jordan, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel all rock the bald head.

As an aside; and not minimising your situation, but I've got a very close female friend that started losing her hair a few years ago – and now is almost completely bald. It's a much bigger deal for girls.

  16. Hi buddy, I can relate all what you have mentioned are symptoms from PMO, PMO(porn/masturbaion/orgasm) can be categorized in stages. So first of all don't ever think about suicidal thoughts, this is not you. by doing Nofap, theorically you can recover from all these symptoms, you have got to keep trying and set strategies until you are PMO free, 3 months are enough to show difference. you are a young man of full of capacity that you haven't discovered yet. Good luck mate!

First off, you should probably see your GP, but try some of this (It may take a month to start working):

    1. Acne - Stop chocolate and fatty foods (including dairy). Use over the counter benzoyl peroxide 5%
    2. Dandruff - Shower daily. Use an anti-dandruff shampoo over the counter: Head and Shoulders or Selsun Blue
    3. Anxiety/Headaches/Exhaustion - No PMO. Consider yoga/exercising. Stop caffeine or other stimulants. You may need medication for the anxiety, see your GP.
    4. Insomnia - Exercise. Lookup Sleep Hygiene
    5. Receding Hairline - Shave your head. Or, Minoxidil shampoo and/or prescription Propecia (may also decrease your sex drive)

    Most important: No PMO

To all of the great advice above, I would add: just imagine reading your post 20 years from now. You have a beautiful wife, maybe kids, you do something interesting for living...and you just smile when you read your post from 2018. You will be proud of yourself, how you managed to raise your game, tackle your challenges and grow into a healthy and happy man who provides support to others. I know, you can do it. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. Most of us here wish NoFap existed when we were 16. You are on the right path. Stay alive, every day.
