    Hello,

My name is George Jetson and I am a happily married man with kids. Unfortunately, I lead a double life at times, escaping reality through inappropriate behaviors on social media chatting apps and sometimes porn. Though I make many excuses minimizing the things I do, I always end up feeling empty inside and ashamed of who I am. What makes it worse is I don't want to do it but cannot find the strength to permanently quit. I've gone days, weeks, and even months without it but always go back.

I'm not too sure what this community can really do to help me but I'm completely willing to give it a shot. I'm desperate for change and need help.

Welcome George, I'm glad you're here. I hope you keep coming back. If I can help, let me know.

  3. Hey man, welcome. The great thing about the community here is that it's a source of power greater than any one of us individually. None of us can beat our addiction alone--addiction is just too deeply rooted in primitive structures of the brain--but together, as a group, we can. My suggestion would be to get involved here as much as possible. Feeling like you're a part of the group and being connected with fellow addicts in recovery is gonna give you power. That's been my experience. Anyway, best of luck. Peace and blessings.

I’m in the same boat George, having recovered from other addictions I.e. booze and drugs, I can tell you that there is a power in identification of others who are going through the same and admitting it to them. It’s a lot easier than trying to do this on your own. Good luck, hope to speak with you over the next few weeks

GH, couldn't agree more. This community has been great thus far as I'm holding strong with 5 solid days. Thanks for your support.

Definitely feeling the power already. I'm stoked to be a part of this community. My goal is to continue staying connected and to participate as much as I can on the boards. Thanks again.
