There is some fetish that involves this. I suggest you delete that video and don't think about it too much. Just think of this as some weird slip up. This is definitely porn. If someone else watched your video they would also classify it as porn.

 

My two cents would be that any visual stimuli that isn't a partner should be considered porn if you're on a reboot.

If I'd, say, MB while watching and becoming aroused from a "non-pornographic" picture I'd see that as using a substitute for porn which could be argued is just as bad (if it's triggering your brain to become aroused from the bare visual stimulation instead of a situation/partner).

My whole point of NoFap is an attempt to re-wire my brain, as I feel it's been numbed from visuals (in this case, as in most, porn). I don't want to replace porn with something else. Therefor, I would reset my tracker.

 

To clarify; I'm not even sure I would consider your video a substitute. It's a video of someone MBing, hence I'd say it's porn - especially if it actually arouses you in a similar way.

Hi! Yep it's a porn sub. I was doing the same thing, videoing myself playing with myself. Didn't MO to them but found myself wanting to watch them all the time for the nice hazy dopamine rush.

I also used to look at my bits in a mirror a lot.. turns out I was using that as a porn sub too.

I was doing this stuff a month ago and I ended up MO'ing 8 days in a row because I was keeping my arousal artificially elevated with it.

 

It’s positive that you question and reflect on behaviour you’re not 100% sure about, and that you ask on top of that.

Jesus man, that's some strange stuff. Not judging you or anything, but you know when you're trying to find a video on PornHub, and then the video ends or something, then you see your reflection on your monitor when it's black? You get to see the stupid, ugly look on your face as you're edging. That turns me off 120% of the time.

Whether it's porn or not is irrelevant in my mind... I would consider it an actual aid to NoFap.

It's for sure a behavior that comes out of porn addiction, so, porn or not, you should absolutely cut it out.

 

It depends on your goals and your addictions.

For me PMO created intense isolation where I was basically in a sexual and emotional relationship with myself; doing everything possible to give myself pleasure. Most of my acts didn’t involve other people.

I watched porn every single day for 4+ hours. But I also spent lots of time playing with myself and not watching porn.

So my goals for sobriety is to break that isolated sexual lifestyle, and instead save my sexual release for my sexual partner.

Everyone’s goal is different, but I would say that most PMO addicts on here experience similar levels of loneliness and isolation due to PMO by ourselves. If you’re like me I would say avoid doing stuff like that. It will help out dramatically with recovery from this.

I think the greatest thing I did was hard mode no PMO of any kind. My sexual preferences are balancing out and I’m gettting better.
