I once made it to two weeks without masturbating. I during the period I kept my porn stash but generally avoid it by focusing my attention on other things like work.

After my two week victory I decided to delete my porn stash as I decided that it was no longer necessary. The problem is that once I deleted my porn stash all I could think about were the rare porn videos/hard to find amateur clips I had deleted. Every hot woman that passed me in the street only made it harder to control my lust

Eventually this caused me to relapse I went from two weeks without porn to binge watching porn for the next two weeks.

I'm trying to achieve a far longer streak this time around but I'm worried that deleting my current porn collection (instead of just avoiding it) will create a repeat of last time

Deleting your porn stash is a psychological break-up with your "digital harem". As long as you keep a stash, you'll be tempted to go back. You just need to overcome your brain's desire to replace the lost "harem" with a new one!

I know... Keeping a stash is nothing more than trying to justify an escape route. My biggest worry though is that I'll have no "output" when I eventually get horny.

I deleted 200GB of Porn first when I joined here
At first, I regretted but now I feel good for doing it
you are trying to stop using porn you know that for a fact and now your brain fighting you to prevent it
put your sex energy to something else like gym and swimming class

It's unnatural for people to need porn to get off! If you can't jerk off without porn, you have a serious problem. Even the urge to jerk off rather than connecting with real people is unnatural in itself.

200 Gb deleted! Whoa that is some serious resolve. My current collection is only 1.5Gb and I have been literally having sleepless nights when I think about deleting it.

For me it's like being broke and having a whole cabinet of junk food. If I want to be be healthy the solution is simple: Get rid of the junk food.

Problem: If I get rid of the junk food I might starve as I'm too broke to replace the food

  7. I read this wrong in my head when I first saw it. I was thinking about free porn site accounts which is something I’ve been thinking about lately.

All porn is deleted from my devices. *****I think that needs to be done ASAP*****

As far as free porn site accounts I’ve held off on going to the sites to delete those because I’m 100% sure that going to those sites is going to make me stumble. If they were paid I’d get it done ASAP because of the money. But the free ones I’m just going to let those be, don’t want to take the chance, doing so good for a month now.

I’ve got blocks on my devices now and my daily routines leave me little time or desire to look at porn.

Thanks guys! I've just deleted all my porn. Deleted all my password as well and wiped the registry on my drives so that I can't recover anything deleted.

What finally pushed me over the I did some introspection and asked myself the following questions...

Why are you settling for a life of artificial fulfilment when you could have a life of real pleasure?
You do realise that there are plenty of women who would be willing to have sex with you if you just stopped being such a coward?

Are you going to spend the rest of your life watching other men enjoying the type of women that you could enjoy in real life if you just focused on improving yourself?

Are you going to spend every week of your life tired and unfocused because you chose porn over sleep?

I deleted all my porn and fetish clips at the end of this past July. Just went cold turkey and deleted it all. I had well over 500GB of it and in an instant it was gone. And I have to say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Since then I’ve been able to cut porn out completely and soon it will be three weeks on hard mode for me. I don’t regret deleting it at all and I highly recommend anyone that’s serious about overcoming this addiction to do the same. In the beginning you may become eccentric and get jittery at the thought of all your clips being gone forever, as I was. For the first four days I was constantly biting my nails and clenching my fists due to anxious stress and frustration. However, I very quickly moved on and left it all behind. I began redirecting my attention towards improving my physical health by exercising and eating extremely clean. And I can say rightfully that I feel better now than I’ve felt in a long, long time.

If you are serious about quitting PMO what conceivable reason would there be to retain a porn stash?

  16. You have to delete it. I deleted all my (hardcore) porn as well. Of course in the beginning it didn't felt ok. All those horny pics. But it is part of your recovery.

This was your relapse trigger. Not deleting porn. Listen pornograghy, and I know what its like to have a collection of your favorite porn stars and delete ALL OF IT, desensitizes you to real interactions with women in general (self esteem). So when you see hot women it triggers that same need to fap whenever you think about your hottest pornstar in the hottest position.
Like, I said, deleting your stash, in my opinion, will not cause you to relapse. In fact, it will help man. Let it go. Its hard but what do you want fake women (screen women) or real life women (even if youre a loser like me you eventually get good with women. We all start somewhere man).
Whenever you get triggered by hot women try your hardest not to act on those urges. Instead use that energy on something else like meditation, exercies, etc. Go swimming or bicycle hard whenever you are in that situation. Good luck!

If you were to put a crack addict in a similar situation and take away his entire stash I’m pretty sure he’d react the same way. This is an addiction, as true of one as any hard core drug addiction, and in some ways even worse. The only way out is through.
