Continuous head tension/senation?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Oct 15, 2018.

  1. Anyone else with post acute withdrawals have this to an extent I am having? 11 months on and off continuous head tension in varying levels.

In the temples, eyes, forehead, centre of the head. I’ve noticed as of recent it has cleared up significantly for me and I do have a much clearer head, that is after porn gave me racing thoughts for a couple years.

    Absolutely, I can relate.

I think the brain is inflamed during the withdrawal period.

I recently read a thread on reddit that ginger will help to reduce it. I take one teaspoon ginger with tea and feel that I have much less brain fog.

I haven’t had as much tension as I have had this light feeling. Not lightheaded mind you, but light. As if my head is filled with helium. I feel as though if my feet weren’t planted firmly on the ground I could float away. I’ve also been experiencing the sensation of dizziness. Not actual dizziness, because I have no difficulty keeping my balance when walking or standing, but I feel the sensation of being dizzy. It’s difficult to explain and bizarre to experience…

Yes, yes, and yes. I've had all of this. It's just getting to the point that it is clearing. I'm 160 days and I think I'm about another 60 days until I'm mostly in the clear.

It's been one of the biggest problems for me. Along with the head tension/normal headaches I've also had a hellish time with migraines. I was already pre-disposed to migraines prior to rebooting but they have been a MUCH bigger problem for me lately.

I would definitely recommend magnesium and ginger for headaches/tension. For anyone with migraines I would also toss in a buterbur/feverfew combo, Coq10, and vitamin B2

I started seeing a naturopath that specializes in headaches. I'm on my second round of a course of magnesium and b2 infusions. The first one cleared my migraine like nothing I have ever tried. She told me you can't get enough magnesium on board with tablets to do much since most of it won't make it past the gut.

I had all kind of withdrawals, but never had this head pressure that many reports.

  8. I get that exact same feeling. It's like you being pulled and pushed around.

Exactly. It’s some weird shit, really hard to explain to those who haven’t experienced it...

  10. I found that if I can gather enough motivation an intense workout helps with head pressure and that weird dizziness. Also some testosterone enhancers can get you moving for that extra motivation.

I just started using a supplement called butterbur extra that has all of these ingredients in one tablet. Much better than taking like 5 every time.

Yeah working out definitely helps me. I’m definitely staying away from testosterone pills though as I don’t think that enhancing your hormones is necessarily the best idea whilst trying to reboot...

  13. The dizziness for me has disappeared but I totally get what you mean, sometimes my vision would black out as well. Dopamine deficiency. Standing or walking I would usually get that, horrible it was only very brief like 5-10 seconds for me. But it would happen often after a relapse or in acute withdrawal.

I had that same thing going on for years. I always assumed the dizziness was from sleep deprivation. Which was probably partly true. But since nofap it's resolved a lot. I realize now that because of my busy life I would binge and then have a 2 to 3 week streak. Hence I have probably been in and out of withdrawals for years.

  15. It feels like my head is exploding and I'm still getting that strange dizziness. I relapsed a lot but I fully committed this time. It's time to move past these withdrawal. I feel like I'm stuck in a recovery phase but I need to move forward.

100% it’s a mixture of your addiction and your brain healing. Fapping alters the brain receptors and these things need a full reset and it takes time. Continuous fapping also depletes the body of essential minerals and nutrients which can cause a variety of problems to the body. Especially the adrenal glands. I’ve gone a very long time fapping and I’m willing to give my body a very long time to recover. Good luck all the best.

Are you injecting magnesium and b2?

Big L! Yes, I actually posted a similar question earlier. I constantly have a sensation of pressure buildup in the skull. I feel a bit of a burning sensation around the hairline as well.

Guys if masturbation causes these problems, then it is more serious than what people make it or to be.

The first three nutrients your body goes to when it’s under strain of any kind.

    1 sodium
    2. Vitamin C
    3. Magnesium

1 salt your food to taste during recovery
2 consider taking a high quality vitamin c supplement
3 transdermal magnesium is best (spray on skin)

It can take upto 12 weeks to restore natural levels. Chronic fapping has most certainly has hit these bodily reserves hard.
