I Can't Sleep Without Masturbating

    I'm just unable to sleep without masturbating. I just find it impossible. Is there any way to combat this?
     
  2. Yeah,
    1) Do as much physical activity as possible during the day, and you will be tireder at night.
    2) Don't drink coffee or other stimulants in the afternoon, so you aren't artificially alert late at night.
    3) Don't look at screens for at least a half hour before bed, so that your melatonin levels are naturally high.
    4) Wake up earlier, and try to stick to a sleep schedule in general. You will get better sleep and be more ready for sleep at bedtime each night.
    5) Don't search for or get distracted by porn, porn substitutes, articles about sex, arousing pictures or anything that makes you want to masturbate during the day.

    All those things will help, but, you will probably still find it hard to sleep, and really want to masturbate. You literally have to struggle through this for a few nights, then the urges will go away and you will be able to sleep just fine. In my experience, this epic battle will last between 3 nights to one week. All i can do is try not to think about it and accept that I won't have much sleep that night. Sometimes I try listening to music, reading or doing some pushups.

    It's basically what I imagine withdrawing from drugs might feel like. You can make it easier but there is still some raw self control required. It's very worth the effort though!
     
  3. yes you can. Human body literally cannot go without sleep. If you dont sleep one night, you will certainly pass out on the second, or on the third, ect. Withdrawals are temporary. Sleep hygiene is important.

  4. Yes, please stop trying to find excuses. The opposite is very true. You wouldn't believe it but I actually began recalling my dreams again because of nofap. Please don't tell yourself you need masturbation to fall asleep because you don't. Masturbation robs you of vital minerals that contribute to a deep and healthy sleep pattern. If you've been masturbating before bedtime, find another ritual to calm you down at night.

    You have made it a routine to beat off every night. It's more that you made it a routine that you don't want to give up rather than needing to beat off to go to sleep.

    I used to beat off every morning, like clockwork. I've broken that routine.

    I faced this once, just leave it to nature, don't sleep. If its extreme, in about 2 days, your body will cave in and you'll probably feel like you're passing out. That's how you break the cycle!

    It takes 3 weeks to change a habbit.I did it every morning and evening for over 30 years. When I was out in a disco, I jerked off to calm myself down in the toilett. When I drove home from a club,I stopped by the road and jerked off. Crazy times

    Disco's are still a thing man, it's just a hall with a bar and music installation with DJ music. They just don't really call it discotheque's anymore. Disco itself is a music genre that did originate in the 70's, but can still be found in popular music today.

    Of course you can go to bed without masturbating!
    The best way of getting high-quality sleep (especially if you don't have plenty of hours to do so) is to put aside all major distractions such as TV, Computer, phone, radio, etc and do some Yoga or meditation.
    If you combine the latter with Tai-Chi or Xi-gong (Plus Nofap) for at least 20-25 minutes and start to master it, you will have a very good and comfortable sleep and feel rested and alert when you wake up.

    I will have to try that because I can't afford to go days without sleep. I'm in a very demanding college program.

    Thank you!!! Is my second day in NoFap, i m addicted to porn and the same thing, i cant sleep whitout masturbation, today i woke up early, i went to the gym and i did not drink coffe, thank you again, last nigh i sleep just 3 hours and now i fell me sleepy

    Melatonin takes about 20 minutes to kick in also concentrate on slowing down your breathing. I had exactly the same problem

    How do you know you are unable to sleep without masturbating? That sounds like a false belief. Look around many people on this forum have no trouble with this, how are you different?

    Day 5 whitout PMO i feel great, the better thing is the brain fog is dissapearing, the brain fog caused for the masturbation is real, i am only 5 days whitout PMO and i recovery the focus in my life, in my work, in my interests, i feel afraid in masturbate again because the sensation about the orgasm is adictive and i want to share my experience for exchange experience and comments whit other members and undestand and superate this addiction.     You don't need orgasm in your life - the only time you need it is to bond with your wife. There is no other need for it. Even in the context of marriage it should not be something you focus on; put it in it's proper place and don't obsess over it.

    It's not easy brow. Take your body to extreme situations. You will survive, after 3-4 days u will be able to sleep fine.
    if not maybe the problem is not masturbating. Check with a psycologist if the probably remains after 1 week.

    There this drink called Nuero sleep. Drink it an hour before you sleep and you’ll knock out like a baby.
