Yes bad things happen, but it's still the work of the divine, it's just that our limited ego sees it as a as an unacceptable tragedy, but can't see the larger picture, wars, torture etc could lead to growth from a broader perspective.

  2. On one hand i understand your point of view, i myself have thought this way for a long time. Like all things happening in this creation, come from the same source, God, the Universe.

But on the other hand.. no... its too easy.. i feel like that actually is the ego trap. Bad things happen.. "ohh well yeah.. its the will of the divine.." that makes the Divine too cheap in my opinion.
Also bad things could lead to good things, but doesnt nessecarily have to be so, otherwise i would suggest to pour boiling water over yourself, and see the good/divine outcome of that. I dont want to be rude, but u see the point im making?

In my search for God.. i have come more and more to the conclusion, that the natural world is divine. But humans, can maybe divine, but doesnt have to be so.
I mean.. look at the stars, the planets.. look at Nature, its such an amazing creation. But humans have gone astray i feel like.
But yeah its just an opinion, just sharing ideas. Its not written in the stones. But on my path i want to live as clean & pure as i can, and hold Nature is the highest regard. I feel like.. our true nature is divine, but we cant see it because of all the wrong concepts/mist of the mind. If we can align with Natural life, natural, pure consciousness, that would be enlightenment i guess.
Anyways, i hope everyone keeps going on the right path.. and not worry too much about these things, they are just concepts. True wisdom lies beyond words, its in being & living well i believe.

It's hard to explain, but we are God and in God, once you realize this very deeply then you will get a higher understanding of how perfect things are, also everything happens by divine will, but on a lower perspective, the divine writes "May his/her will be done"

I reached permanent samadhi just with this deep understanding, anandamayi ma reached samadhi by realizing she was a tool of the divine

  4. I used to think exactly like you. All is one, self is an illusion bla bla.
But if "everything is divine" then the divine is pretty fkd up if innocent people and other life forms get ***. So no, i hold the divine in a higher regard than people corrupting each other.

I believe the Divine can be found in Nature. The will of God is one of goodness and compassion, understanding and truth, not that of abuse and misery. We have to get really straight and real. I have believed in all kinds of concepts for years.. now i try to keep it as practical as possible. The divine and spirituality is real, but people fall for fairy tales too easily. The path is straight and narrow. Nature is the greatest teacher there ever was.

You can't believe in the divine and at the same time believe it's ultimately evil, again, at the end of the day God made all perfect, I'll give you some other hints... what those lifeforms did if they are getting abused? are you looking just at a lower perspective and maya is still deceiving? I look around and wonder what is real nowadays, maya is very deceiving nowadays.

You both have no idea how much I appreciate sincere discourse about some of life's most difficult questions. Bravo to both of you.

Compare: some guys in this forum debate whether or not it is OK to see a prostitute during their reboots......not exactly heady stuff.

  7. Thanks, I also appreciate all the input in this topic :) its a free discussion

About the subject, recently i have really come to believe that not everything is divine, or at least not divine consciousness. If i start acting bad and unrighteouss towards people, this is not an act that comes from divine wisdom.

The sayings like: everything is one, all is love etc. sounds so nice but are not really practical and Real in experience.

But i believe we can grow and evolve to come as close as possible to the divine reality. When we lose all falsehoods, false ideas/copcepts, get pure inside & outside, i believe we can grow into divine perfection.

It could be that everything is Godly, but the confusion, the misery and all thr suffering doesnt make sense then. Why would divinity choose suffering over Bliss? I believe we have to follow a straight and narrow path to live in alignment with the Highest. Unlike all the religions, which are man made in my opinion, true God can be found in Nature, and maybe it is Nature itself. Not survival of the fittest per se, but like consciousness which is free, which can see things how they are, going back to their originality. I feel like humanity has lost touch with their inmost nature for most part of the planet. When we lose all falsehoods, the true, the Buddha-nature (which i believe is our true nature) will remain, enlightenment. Truth & compassion, and bliss can come from that place.
But again, im not high and mighty, im not englightened, its just my ideas nowadays. Long time i have thought of myself as very spiritual, but looking back, i was just attached to all kinds of "spiritual" concepts, not really having this High awareness on an experiental level. I believe its possible, but i believe its a long road.. due to all the distractions, false paths, etc. Its not something that can be forced, we can only remove the obstacles as much as possible. Like sleep, cant force that, but we can remove the things blocking that (lights out, relaxed position, calming the mind etc). Lets all keep learning and growing, trying to do our best to do what is righteouss and best to our current understanding. Yada yadihowee

  8. That does not sound healthy. Sex isn't evil.

  9. I feel like the best attitude to have is a very practical one, trying to harmonise inner & outer life as best as possible

Ramana Maharshi said that is not necessary to be follow the brahmachary path to reach self realization, he said brahmacharya only helps. Even Anandamayi Ma didnt advise people to become renunciates.

Yes, being a brahmachari greatly helps but it's not necessary, by the way I haven't "renounced", I simply lost interest/desire, I eradicated the lust from my mind, it's not a need/desire to me anymore

Suffering is the price the divine pays for becoming manifest and experiencing and realising itself through us. The price is worth it because we ultimately all progress to self realisation. From that highest state we can know the truth of all things and have infinite compassion for all suffering, while knowing it has an ultimate purpose.

If one forces oneself to see the divine in everything, they are on a subtle level, trying to block or minimise suffering. When suffering and fear is truly met, without conceptual understanding, and from the heart, then the beauty and mystery of existence is revealed. This is the gnostic essence of Jesus on the cross, Buddha's enlightenment, and all true spiritual allegories of liberation.

Wow man. You have really accomplished a lot when you say you have lost the desire. You say you are also in samadhi. Does that mean you feel the ultimate happyness constantly?

Yes I'm in a fearless and blissfull state, low mental activity, bear in mind there are several samadhis, there is the basic samadhi, the maha samadhi and the jeeva samadhi

I understand. How did you arrive to this state of samadhi, besides the help of celibate? I practice meditation and japa but sometimes I think im not progressing fast enough. Bhakti is difficult for me, since I dont have any emotional attachment to any deity.

    Me.

I still get all the purges M brings with it even though I've never been addicted to P (and hence haven't watched it) in my life barring a period of 1 month when I was 15 or 16. I still stumble across it sometimes on facebook and infrequently, popups. Never got triggered by them either.

    I've realised that:
    1. All of the physical and most of the hormonal damage comes from MO itself. Additionally, M (technically O) causes the addiction itself.
    2. Some of the "hormonal numbness" is caused by P, whereas the bulk of the addiction is sustained by P.

    Together you get a cycle.
Quit porn and you prevent it from getting worse.
Quit masturbation and you undo existing damage.

    Very simply put.

Thanks for the input on this

I do believe there are ones who can do this so I am glad to hear from you. My question wasn't to say nobody can do so, I just wanted to see if anyone could chime in...

    Thanks for this
