I appreciate you sharing your insight on the philosophy of logic. Just knowing the proper terms and language for what I'm trying to say really helps me.

But yeah, what I mean is say is that if you are a moron, and someone else is trying to tell you something. You should probably take the time to reflect if the arguments presented are sound. Things you always thought were right might be wrong and it might be because you never taken the time to really think things through.

Sometimes people are fed false information (invalid premise) and even though the conclusion they end up with is sound, it's not actually true. So we should take the time to check if arguments are sound when conflicting ideas come up.

A moron with a good intentions is still a moron. You don't understand where information comes from and how to determine what is truth or not truth. You don't know how to source information and how to stay objective. What humility, you spent 5+ pages on the forum trying to tell people you're right without any real evidence besides your own subjective feelings because you lack the humility to consider you could be wrong. There is a lot of truth in the world, you just can't see it because you lack humility.
You lack the humility to accept you aren't qualified or capable to determine the truth, so you make blanket statements like there "the truth is scarce". There is a lot of truth in the world, you're just too blind to see.

I'm sorry, but this is the biggest bunch of nonsense I've ever heard. There is a boat load of information and truth in the world if you just know how to find it and know for sure if it's true or not. You've just got to be open-minded enough to realize that there are a lot of people in the world that honestly know more than you do and are more knowledgeable in certain subject matters. On the other side of the coin I'm sure there's lots of areas and subject matters in which you know quite a bit more about than lots of folks. You blowing people off that have more knowledge than you isn't being humble. If you were truly humble like you claim to be you would have taken into consideration that myself and others that have responded to you in this thread might actually be speaking truth and have the experience and knowledge to back up that claim. But instead you shot every one of us down and considered your narrow-minded views to be the correct and wholly truth because of your own personal experiences. The truth is, that there is a lot of good in society and just because you have trouble finding it and experiencing it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Yeah, but can he play the piano? This is a Good Will Hunting reference. (I know you like movies, so I’m sure you’ve seen it)

We all have our strengths, the point is not to compare ourselves to others, but to find out who we are, who our Higher Power (God) created us to be for these moments in time.

I myself struggle with this daily. Especially during the season of life that I’m in. I thought God wanted me to be a husband, I thought I was supposed to follow a traditional family plan, but that’s not entirely within my control. If my STBXW decides that divorce is the best way forward, then that path has ended, and I’ll begin a new one.

I still believe that God has a plan. I’m glad you find some truth (and hopefully some comfort) in my words. I wish I could write more frequently, but my focus and commitment to my daughters, AA, ACOA, and my job still demand a lot of my time.

    Merry Christmas.

  5. Merry Christmas Archangel77! Don't worry about writing to much or too little with regards to me. I'm not the kind of person to guilt someone into posting or responding through manipulation. I only want you to come when it makes sense for your life. Go to my journal, and talk about whatever you want at that time. You are not a hostage here.

Re: divorcing, I myself went through a really slow-motion (more film talk!) divorce, because it was around 2015 when things were getting bad. I could say that the love was gone back then. The truth of the matter was there was not love in the first place.

I don't like to play marriage counselor and give advice specific to anybody, since the volume of details and history far outstrip the capacity of a post. But for me, I just got to a point when I knew it was over. There was a specific thing that happened.

I started hearing a distinct calling to leave, but I hung on for about 6-7 weeks. This is in an environment that was never romantic to say the least. We rarely had sex, and she didn't even so much as look me in the eye. After that specific "event", enough was enough.

On Sept. 24, 2017, I packed up. I knew I wasn't going back. To this day, even if I'm lonely, I still say it is WAY better than living within her constant scorn, getting ignored, she wouldn't laugh at my jokes, she wouldn't touch me, and she was always looking into the smart phone when we were supposed to be together.

For me, it was as clear as a cloudless night sky in which I could see the stars and their ancient light.

  6. AUTiger7222, "blowing people off that have more knowledge than you isn't being humble."

What does this mean? Humility is not a factor of filtering out bad information. Filtering out bad information is the main function of thinking and mindfulness.

Humility is the ability to help or love someone, despite their situation. Those are two different things, two different skillsets, like the difference between apples and oranges.

Humble is a synonym of humility. You can easily take my sentence and reword it to say "blowing people off that have more knowledge than you isn't showing humility."

Here's the definition for humility straight from Merriam-Webster, Humility means “the state of being humble.”

I think you're mixing up humility with being kind, empathetic and caring.

Don’t pay for sex that’s messed up. And illegal.

Am I just old fashioned or something?

  10. At least you got my name right this time! :)

  11. Dude, I hate to give you an English lesson here, but there is no difference between humility and being humble.

If I said this person is "being humble" or if I said, "that person has humility", I have just said the exact same thing.

Of course, you might not know that if you aren't a native English speaker.

It's like saying, "I feel happiness" or "I am happy". There is no difference. See what I mean?

The concept of being happy or being humble is much greater than the part of speech as it is used in a sentence.

Why does Webster waste peoples' time on stupid definitions like that, I don't get.

You're right. There is no difference between the two. That's why I used humble instead of humility in my first post. But you're the one that said it didn't make any sense. You have no respect for the posters on this message board and this post right here proves that. But I'm done wasting my time with someone as disrespectful as you. Good day sir!

  13. AUTiger7222, I apologize about that. You're right, the post was heavy-handed.

I appreciate the opportunity to see that I can lose perspective, and get arrogant or mean.

The fact is, when posts get long, I tend to start to tune out, which is not right.

Anyway, I could have handled that a lot better, I agree.

that's falling in love .... love, I think it's another thing

  19. To be honest man I'm almost ready to try an escort.
I'm realizing how much money it would be to do so in order for just something small that I would like to enjoy. To be honest I'm a lonely guy right now and I've tried taking a chance with this girl at my job that I knew liked me a little bit, but she avoided going to a movie with me when I asked her. But anyway it is allot of money out the window and you could be more opened to STD's and such with how many guys they might of been with even.
If you do it just protect yourself as much as you can and have safe sex.
