  3. Today will be 60/60 when it's done. Exceeded my longest streak by 30 days today. Real proud to be here. Yesterday was a very strong pull the other way and had to use the panic button - thank God that's there. Now it's on to the 90 challenge! See you there!

  4. I'm signing up for all of these! Day zero now. Let's go!

  6. Day 32. Got through a couple challenging nights. Feeling some positive changes in both mind and body. Let's keep this going.

  8. I think that i have started a very big challenge very early and i am not able to cope it up with even 7 days to relapsing again and again. So I am quitting this challenge and going to 7 days challenge and 14 days challenge as it will be more effective and hence will give confidence to me.

  9. Although I'm no where near you in time @Force Majeure in terms of distance it's been a revelation to me that the porn was in many ways a distraction for tackling the hard (yet most meaningful) actions/needs in my life. For sure I can find other tentacles back to my childhood about what addicted me to porn. Yet the distraction discovery was something so tangible and meaningful that it in many ways energized and motivated my focus to stay with it. Without questions we have a brain chemistry that has been effected and needs to be reversed. What's powerful is knowing, in some ways, how simple the choice of repeated saying no puts power into the rewiring of that chemistry.

Thank you for sharing your experience @Gavinfree . It was first when I stopped watching porn I realised I could link the addiction to other traumas in life: I started watching porn at the same time I felt I had no friends (10 yo)... this probably led me to escape reality way more than I would have done if I hadn't had problems with friendships. When I got older (around 16) the number of friends I got exploded and I probably watched porn less. However, the habits for escaping reality at hard times was so ingrained I continued to watch porn during so many more years. Of course I felt bad when I watched porn with ultimately triggered a bad spiral. So yes, I really agree with you, consistently saying no to old habits rewires the brain in a very good way.

    Keep fighting Gavinfree!

Post #6000 is about reaching day 60 of 60 and winning the challenge! The Gods smile upon you, my brother. Congratulations my man! We will certainly see you there in time. I love that panic button. To be honest, I've never used it in an emergency, but have just spent time clicking it and reading what's there. Some great stuff! Enjoy the 90!

62/60 days. I've been offline for a few days, and in the meantime completed the challenge. It feels great, although I had some weird side effects. See you in the 90s Challenge!

  16. Day 26/60. Happy New Year's Eve to my fellow NoFappers! This time of year can be especially difficult for people like us. Stay strong, stay positive, stay away from the internet if you need to, connect to real people around you as you celebrate. If you plan to drink a little too much alcohol tonight, make sure you have your contingency plans and safeguards in place beforehand, so you can't relapse if you get tempted later when your inhibitions and judgment are impaired. We can do this, and start 2019 with a victory! Cheers! :)
