    Nope.

External motivation is not bringing you anywhere. You have to find the motivation, otherwise it's useless.

How can I find the motivation can you explain? I look at the benefits and other stuff like success stories which help me. But every time I relapse I say to myself do I really want to do nofap then all of a sudden there is this voice in my head with a deep desire saying yes do it don't stop, like this deep knowing that this is my life path. I believe in god and stuff like that but not a religious god.

  8. Motivation will bring you nowhere.
All what you need is to answer one question:

What's the reason(s) you started this challenge in the first place? Why is it so important to you to quit this bad habit?

    Answer them below!

  9. This is one of the areas where therapy helped me.

The voice belongs to you, which means that you have the right to own it; to ignore it; to change it; and to delete it.

When you hear the voice, identify its location. Is it inside your head, in your shoulder, in front you…?

Listen to it. Is it your voice or someone else's voice?

Now pick up the voice — literally, take your hand and grab hold of the voice (your subconscious mind will understand what you're doing) — and hold it in front of you, in your hand.

Look at the voice. Imagine that you can see it. Change its voice into something that you can't take seriously, e.g. Mickey Mouse.

Tell it, "Thank you for the advice, but I'm moving on in life now. That old story no longer works."

Then drop the voice onto the floor and squash it with your foot.

In your empty hand, make a new, helpful voice, using any voice that you truly respect. It can be your own voice or someone else's. Let that voice tell you something helpful, for example, "Yes, you can improve your life, and it will also help others. Leave the stupid porn alone and go make me proud!"

Or whatever wording helps you the most.

Then put that new voice back where the old voice used to be.

  11. One problem that people can find is that this sort of thing works, but then their brain becomes afraid of change.

    So…

    They "forget" to use it!

Do something to remind you when you most need it. For example, a sticky note on your computer screen where you normally used to view porn.
