Checkin' in; day 13. Need some opinions if somebody is reading this please.

Had a wet dream today. The worst part was that it was a lucid dream, so my wet dream might be considered masturbation, cos I intentionally induced it by starting to have sex during wet dream. Masturbation is defined as stimulating one's genitals for pleasure, which did happen, just not with my hands but through my mind only. But also it was sex in a dream and not MO in a dream, so technically it was sex. But then again dream is MO cos I am having sex with myself in my head.

I'm confused. Does intentionally induced wet dream via having sex during lucid dream is considered masturbation? I did not touch myself once I woke up, in fact I tried to stop it by flexing PC, didn't work tho. I know that generally wet dreams are not considered relapse in this community because they are out of one's control. The thing though is that it was lucid dream. I am not sure how much control I had, maybe not 100%, but I did had a lot, due to me being lucid during a dream. So that's what I am thinking of. If it would be just a normal wet dream I would not be worried.

Anyhow, still day 13 without masturbating to porn or watching porn, so challenge continues in some form at least...

Day 45. After like ten days of flatline, some normal feelings are returning. This is good in that I'm feeling more like myself again, but makes things a little more challenging since the hormones are flowing pretty good right now.

One thing I noticed, is how being away from P makes you more aware of the casual sexuality which permeates our culture. It's just everywhere in the media & entertainment & advertising. Unless you live in a cave, it's hard to escape it. So we must cultivate our own internal resilience to these influences, since they can lead right to PMO and the whole escalation pattern after that.

 

Hey man I don't know the official "rule" on this, if there is one. Seems like a gray area to me, so I wouldn't worry about it. A couple nights ago I actually had a similar experience in a semi-lucid dream state. I did not O, but was probably twenty seconds from it. If it had happened, I'd be giving myself the benefit of the doubt.

As @chiyu said, don't worry about it. You are overthinking it. If it is a dream, it doesn't count. It doesn't matter how things unfolded in a dream. It's a dream. If you have a dream about logging onto porn and jerking off to it and you ejaculate and then wake up.. it's a dream. You can't control it. And it doesn't count. One of the drawbacks of a long PMO challenge is that you are not releasing your semen, which is unhealthy. A wet dream does that, without restarting the bad habits you had before your challenge. So it's a good thing. Don't worry about it, and don't reset your counter because of it.

YES! You are back on the boards. And that is the most important thing! As Freeman82 says.. If my counter does not say zero, today is a good day. Keep it up.
