I just had a good 20\25 days, the first good days in while, probably the first good days from day 40\50.

But in the last 3 day i started again to feel some depression, dullness, weakness, but, for now, not remotely near the last withdrawal phase.

I know how you feel. I don’t know how many days your on but at 67 days dealing with what you are right now. Head and chest pressure and not sure if anxiety is the culprit or all in my head now. Managing work I think is making it worse.

Hey. Thanks, man. I'm 20 years old at the time of writing this, and I definitely do not want to spend my twenties in a fucking mental fog. At the same time, I'm not looking forward to the many months it may take to restore normalcy, but it beats the alternative by a long shot. I really admire your staying power. 465 days is fucking phenomenal. I hope the worst part of your recovery is over, mate.

Does anyone else wake up at 4-6am having intense vivid anxiety dreams? I’m almost 3 weeks clean after my worse bender in years and have been having these intense anxiety dreams on and off the past couple of weeks. A few times I have awakened pouring sweat.

I was having dreams and anxiety waking the last couple of weeks. That started dissipating but my insomnia is still there though a bit. Try to exercise to sleep more if you can and avoid technology before bed..

I'm apt to think that if you have them 450 + days in that it could be something else. over 450 days go well beyond what i would describe as being acute.

They usually hit me at day 2 and 3 and are over by day 5. Then the slow process of feeling incrementally better every additional day. Within a couple weeks the ball starts really rolling and feeling a lot better and more productive.

  8. No two cases are the same. Do you really think 11 to 12 years of damage will be undone relatively quick? And I have seen progress, it’s just very slow. Oh and they’re not acute withdrawals, these are post acute, that’s why I still have them even till now. My symptoms have been near on par to sufferers of benzodiazepines.

  9. Only minor withdrawals, nothing too extreme. I was doing alright up until a few days after New Year’s Eve but went into a minor bad window. Have yours gone then? You have a functional libido now?

No, but I didn't say it would be undone relatively quickly either.

And while no two experiences are the same -my porn addiction was far longer than yours, but most people are well over it by now, so my point is you might want to explore the idea that this is being caused by something else.

  11. I appreciate your concern. Like I said, I’m seeing progress albeit it is slow. It is not uncommon for journals and people having two year flatlines, especially for young fellas like me who wired their brains pre-puberty/puberty. There’s a few guys who are in the same situation on here as myself.

I can’t even begin to describe how bad and unfunctionable I was earlier on and before recovery and where I am now, it’s like two different people altogether.

Libido is stronger now, but not 100%. Small steps ;)

Hope everything is good with you

Have you had a blood check up?

  14. Good to hear, yea I recently had a window where it felt as if women seemed more appealing, most definitely. But hit a recent window where things went downhill, it’s all up and downs though as I’m sure you are already aware. It will take a while for me I think to get back to baseline. I really did abuse myself and binged frequently.

No. I’m adamant my symptoms have been textbook abuse from wanking too much to porn quite frankly. I have felt burnout for years even masturbating with a limp dick in the end for two to three years due to me escalating and not finding any porn arousing, yea that’s how mad it was for me. I just struggle with weak erections and no arousal to women, like objectively they’re fucking stunning but I don’t have that animalistic primitive arousal glowing in me yet. My erections are weak like 50-60 % but they’re definitely coming back.

A lot of my symptoms have vanished as well which in my mind tells me I’m doing good and something right.

  15. Anyone that doubts that you can flatline for as long as I am only needs to go and read other people’s stories on here, yourbrainrebalanced and YBOP. This is ain’t no quick and easy fix for some of us. My central nervous system and mind have been on fire because of this shit, it’s unbelievable.

That is awesome to hear sir! Keep up the good work. How many months on so far, considering your doing hard mode, that it took to getting libido back at this point... I can feel the pelvic muscles moving now when before I couldn’t. Is that any indication.

It can take a while for your "system" to get back to normal, it can be a sign of healing. My libido started to get back slowly after maybe 9-10 months..

I see. I have read a lot about the brain lately and don't focus only the brain to recover. The gut needs to heal as well. New studies show that 90% of serotonin and 50% of dopamine are produced in the gut. Source: https://medium.com/@drbradysalcido/how-your-gut-influences-your-brain-841173517673

No desire, but I still had sex time from time with a on and off partner. Did not have morning wood until after one year
