What value does Porn and Masturbation bring into your life?-A Question

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by Deleted Account, Jan 8, 2019.

  1. I'm on a 50-day NoFap streak. Now, I'm sitting here wondering, why do I need masturbation and porn? When you masturbate, your semen is gone. Physical pleasure for what? I'm contemplating this because 88% of adult films feature violence against women. How is that going to make you appreciate women? Let alone respect them? Watching them get beaten and you're getting off to that. Not trying to trigger anyone, it's a fact. I remember this video of these men yelling these slangs like b****, h**, etc. to this girl on camera. That video had millions of views and lots of likes. Then I was like "What I'm I doing with my life?" Even in my solitude, I was embarrassed. I was getting off to this girl getting humiliated on camera. I was enjoying that. It was at this moment I knew: I need direction, I need change, I want long-lasting love that is filled with joy, I want a life that is so awesome that when I look back I will have no regrets. I was sick and tired of the loneliness, the low self-esteem, the self-loathing. Getting these cheap dopamine highs for my own selfish desires. It was time for me to quit and to say goodbye to porn. Saying goodbye to the strongest vice man can ever experience in his life. When the screen goes black and your finished masturbating, that's truly the best motivation for quitting. No more shame, no more guilt, no more ED, PE, DE, and regret. Say goodbye to the fap and say hello to NoFap. Your new life awaits.

  2. It never bought any value in my life. It only bought pain and suffering. I remember videos like the ones you are describing. Never again.

  3. It's 100x more powerful than heroin. It can be delivered in the privacy of your own home. That's the problem. In fact, there are countless studies that show people who consume porn have similar thinking patterns to that of a heroin addict. Pretty scary stuff. Not to mention, the 88% figure you just mentioned. I just hope one-day society can end this abomination once and for all.

  4. People need to wake up. Violence against women should never be tolerated and yet we have people masturbating to that. I mean there are people who spend their whole day watching porn. Crazy stuff. At least your having an awakening now, brother.

  5. Great post, man! Brings a good perspective.

  6. I noticed the violence against women thing. I just wonder why it's ever allowed in porn? Especially with the whole #MeToo movement thing. Society is so backward, I swear to god.

Great post! You're completely right. P is one of the most worthless and negative things ever invented.
    Keep up the good work!

  9. At least heroin gets you high. Masturbation just isn't even worth the trouble. Not to say heroin is good, but masturbation is just a lose lose. It really is pointless. Not even worth the trouble.

Absolutely no value. It's one of the most destructive vices one can possibly think of, a soulless thing which leads you to a distortion on how you perceive other human beings leading you away from any prospect of a good life. I've been there, you reach a point where you wonder if you're even human anymore. Excellent post, i couldn't agree more.

  13. I got the stats to prove my point about 88%. I got this article from dudeman430, btw. A nice shout-out to him.

The article is a great find. Thanks!

The coolidge effect causing us to seek a new genre/interests/fetishes, whatever that is is already bad as it is, making one wishing that their SO (for those in a relationship) will adapt and give them the same "treatment" as the actors in P. Which of course will cause discontent and sometimes forces the SO to go above and beyond what they are ready to do in order to please the P addict....

Even worse when some of those genres display signs (or blatant hardcore acts) of violence. Verbal, physical, special or weird fetishes. As time goes by, what type of porn will be required for addicts to get their fix? When I first did NoFap in 2016 (hey hey I'm back because I over estimated myself and played with fire), The P was not as bad as of today. More violence today. Also, in my own experience P has become more "unreal" or sci-fi-type of P. So it it doesn't exist in real life, how could one ever be able to actually performs the acts that don't exists? There is much cartoons and stuff....

It was funny last night, as I was talking to my wife and telling her that there is such thing as actors in P dressed as clowns....she was having a huge WTF moment. Effectively, its pretty much unreal but true. There is so many things out there and the P- sites are catering to the users needing variety/novelty factors to feed their dopamine cravings.

Yes P addiction and PMO are very horrible, in the sense that its disguised as the most harmless (to the neophyte) of all addictions, and also not even seen as an addiction by the average person. This is why this forum is beneficial to us, as the more we read and post, the more we understand (and assist others).

All in all, I'm afraid of the future of the males on this rock....While VR reality is already out there, It still is expensive to gear up for it, but it may further "damage" the offenders, causing maybe more isolation from real world stuff. And we know that P pushed technology. During the VCR days and the format war (VHS vs BETAMAX), because P was widely available on the VHS format, and that SONY (they were the developers of BETAMAX) refused to support the P industry by refusing to have P movies recorded on their format, VHS format won, even if the BETAMAX was a superior format. There is an interesting article on THRILLIST, which I will not link, to avoid triggering some folks, that talks specifically about the impact on porn on technology....scary stuff.

You are 100% right that violence against men is out there, but its ingrained in our culture to protect the women and/or at least publicly defending them. I'm in my 40's, and traditionally, the type of P I was watching then , and what I was exposed to during my adult life was more targeted in that direction.
The type of P I was watching wasn't displaying violence against men much, but I guess its out there, depending on what you watch.

I noticed an increase in content that could be psychologically damaging to men. Especially if you take into account that PMO'ers may feel bad about their behavior and maybe get exposed to P that re-enforce degrading thoughts against self.

I was and still am into femdom(female domination) I want to stay with this fetish but I don't want to watch porn ever again maybe once in a while with my future girlfriend or wife I think that in this type of porn the girls are so cruel that they sometimes almoat kill the slaves and if it was real they were dead or depressed for the rest of their life.
I want no one to control me but I think it is great sometimes to lose the grip over yourself and let the girl dominate you but it is just me do not judge in real life I will never let no one tell me what to do if I find what they say useless

I think that the exemple that you brought up is interesting. That stuff is something you have stumbled upon one day. You probably had not much of an interest. Then, after the very regular mainstream stuff became old news, your brain started to look for whatever new, and you finally had a revelation: your brain likes this Dom stuff. Well, then you start browsing this stuff and it becomes one of your kinks. Those P-stars/actresses are hoping you will eventually pay to get more of THEIR content, to pray on your desires. You can also try to date a good person that you will love, but you also hope somehow that you could possibly introduce that kink into your real sex life. It may work or it may not, depending on your partner.

I'm not a psychologist obviously, but I believe the dom stuff may cause a lot more harm to some individuals than others. But image the odd porn surfer with low self-esteem that self-medicates with P, then get into the dom stuff. They may eventually get worse mentally, or be exploited. Basically all P consumers are exploited to a certain extent.

The weirder the kink (or more brutal), the hard to reproduce it in real life. Also, sometimes it may be downright criminal!

I wish you the best in finding a partner that can help you achieve your dreams. But because we are consuming material that is out of the standards, its harder to realize.
Porn makes us believe that many ladies (living in our own neighborhood!) are into that dom stuff, which is simply not true. You may pay for it, but if one's plan is to build a "special room" and buy gear, hoping the GF will fit right in the role, well its possible, but unlikely. I mean there is a way to bring much frustration if one cannot get his fix of "as seen in P" action. But if you have a very opened GF/Wive that is asking you what you like and you are fully confident to be respected in this, you can ask. If it works you are golden.

I know that I personally have a very hard time to get the wife to try anything out of the conventional. On top of that, she knows where I found the inspiration, so its not a winner.
I feel like a beggar that tries to choose!
