My Porn Recovery Journey: From Suicide to Serenity

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by Deleted Account, Jan 21, 2019.

  1. Hello brothers,

Just wanted to share my experience, strength, and hope in recovery that someone out there might benefit. I discuss the traumatic experiences before my addiction, my near death experience, and how everything changed after I came into recovery. Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's any other topics you'd like me to cover in future videos.

Very well said. Thanks Andrew. Making a video about this is pretty brave. Many people dont want to expose their struggles to the world. But you did.

  7. When did you meet the flatline? What day was the day you fully recovered?

  8. Thanks for reaching out guys!

For me, I rarely if ever experience flatline. My recovery program is very active and engaging which uplifts me gradually over time. The more I work the recovery program, the better I feel. For me, it's not about only counting days or trying to hit some target. Recovery is a journey for me, and without PMO, I have the opportunity to work on and enjoy things that weren't possible like fulfilling social relationships and healing my emotional scars.

Unfortunately, I will never be cured from this disease. If I were to return to PMO, the addictive properties would return immediately. Also, if I stopped working my recovery program completely, I'd give myself about 3 days before I'd go back to PMO. But I have experienced recovery in a lot of areas in my life, and the key is that for me recovery is a life long process. It's not something that happens overnight. It takes hard work, dedication, and the willingness to feel uncomfortable for a while. For anyone who wants it badly enough, it's there.

  9. Well keep on going on that journey dude, and good luck!
