  1. It was like this when I was in rehab too. A lot of people just turn into teenagers when trying to get over addictions, I guess.

  2. Actually, now that I think about it, they did teach us that when people get addicted to things, it stops mental maturity at the age they started using. Everyone on here is struggling...

    Wow what a crazy post.
Greetings from a German who believes that:

    1. Someone who participates in a war in other countries is not a hero
    2. Masculinity is subjective (depending on culture and personality)
    3. Religion is something beautiful that unites humanity

  4. Well, that was back when I thought my issues were only to alcohol and drugs. I knew fairly quickly, after these became a problem, that I was addicted. All these years addicted to PMO and I didn't even realize I had an issue... It's like I've found this crazy fantasy world lol. It doesn't even seem like reality anymore. I need to remember what I was taught in rehab, and start applying it more to nofap.

That shit is completely irrelevant. Srsly you're the biggest snowflake I see around here

  8. Hahaha, Maui actually, want some kool-aid?
What a chain of dismissive, contradictory, broad generic -isms. Good.On.You.

So much idealism hu. Just like desegregation or public education or women's rights, right? Or worker's rights or even! Gasp* a bill of rights. Pshhh too idealistic. Child labor abolishment? Nah forget that.

Ah shoot, I just added a -asm of my own, look at me now.

It takes very little effort to shoot broad generic terms. Did you want to engage me like an adult with constructive ideas of your own?

No because leftists don't really study history... or anything for that matter. They only thing they are willing to study is gender studies

  12. That or liberal arts. Both sound made up.

Alright, let's start with how I mostly disagree with the historical implementations of your examples, however ironically you meant to use them. The problem with idealization is that it escalates the victim status of the groups it attempts to uplift.

First it was women's rights, now it's a nanny state; first it was segregation and equality, now race is outright denied as a biological concept (except for the whites, who are born with Marxist original sin); first we had child protection regulations, now we have gender-fluid-peddling fish psychology that tells parents to juice up their children with hormone therapy. I think democracy is a failure, and that the Constitution that served as the foundation of our country was not restraining enough to prevent the rampant degeneracy we see in the modern world.

Idealism, as instituted by policies, is a pipe-dream that exacerbates divides within populations. It belongs in the sewer of historical review.

  16. Well there we go, I appreciate the effort even if you still use large sweeping terms in an attempt to undermine my original message, which if you go back- was simply the idea of caring for your community and ending 2 party divisness, period.

What reveals the most about your opinion and overall attitude though is the fact you didn't lend any remedies to us, the community, as to how you'd fix these so called "idealistic failures". You just took these examples, pushed them to their minority extremes, and discredit them. Anyone can do that, that doesn't take us anywhere and doesn't bring solutions to the table.
"nanny state" "corporatism" "socialism" "non-race identification?" "Idealism instituted policies?"; These are all extreme generalizations that were not brought up by me but rather you. It's quite revealing. And although I disagree with your perspective I respect your right to voice it, no matter how big of a failure you perceive democracy to be.

    ________
Assumptions are a dangerous thing and the least we could do is talk to one another, no? As per my original post- lol. so we can begin to understand eachother rather than seperate-demonize- and polarize one another into camps. (my original point)
If you'd like.. start a separate thread and invite me. I'd be more than happy to debate with you on finer points so we don't hijack this post anymore than we have. If your open to that of course. But your not going to lump sum my points into grandiose extremes there, you better be ready to take positions and apply solutions to the Democratic Republic and its current state in 21st century America. I promise I'll do the same.

Or... i've got a really nice time-share I'd love to talk to you about. ;)

  17. Actually I looked into it and yeah it seems like Christianity and Islam and religion in general is here to stay and not just here to stay but here to grow. The world is gonna become even more religious within the next few decades. Atheism is actually gonna be on the decline but Christianity and Islam (more so Islam) will continue to gain more members. What I don't get though is that if society or at least Western society is becoming more liberal then why are conservative religions like Christianity still growing? Can anyone answer why that's so?

They’re growing primarily in developing areas. As for those in the developed areas, religion is one way to have a purpose.

Least patriotic? Don’t care really. Especially if that patriotism is used to make our young generations die for stupid causes as has been happening throughout entire human history.

Least religious? Wonderful! I hope the trend continues.

    Least loyal? Define loyal.

Least grateful? I’d definitely say the boomers are the most fucked up generation when it comes to being grateful. They’ve caused countless wars, have tanked our economy a few times, gotten rid of the exact same programs they selfishly used when they were in their 20s, and left behind the situation to us and then complain about us. The reality is “millennials” are having higher employment rates with lower wages than boomers. Millennials are literally working harder. Look at the sum, not only pink haired crybabies in university.

As for anxiety depression and all of that, a huge amount of that can be placed on the current social media, 24 hour cable news, porn addicted, stagnant real wages (according to the US government itself real wages stagnanted in the 70s while inequality is up) etc. back in the day you could get a union job and make above the median wage right out of high school. Today you gotta go into college debt to work at Starbucks. Generalizations but it at least describes part of the trend.
