Hi everyone, I just relapsed after 35 days no PMO.

granted, it wasnt a perfect streak, I did peek at porn (for a few seconds) a few times along the way.

I am in general a slave to technology. I am always picking up my phone, laptop or PS4 and in general these devices are absolutely huge triggers to me.

From now on I am not only going to completely cut out porn, but simply get rid of these devices. I will only use a communal PC for work and that is it.

I have been trying nofap properly since around July 2018, and since then I've put together a lot of good streaks, but havent got far enough to the point where porn doesn't seem attractive anymore. I haven't had one of those 'wakeup calls' so fighting PMO is an absolute struggle, as i know it simply isnt beneficial to me at all.

with that being said, tonight is my last night with all this shit technology. Its time to live life now. im gonna stay calm and not binge and tomorrow start again. lets get this

May i ask you was it intentional break of streak "you decided to break" or was it an involuntary response to an urge?
If it is the first, why didn't you continue the streak longer?
If the second, what was the difference between this time and previous urges?

Last question, how do you feel now, fresh and ready for longer streak, or urging for another PMO?

    Thanks in advance

it is the second point. i failed because i got hit by a barrage of urges when i least expected them. to be honest today i've been very positive and only now have i had some pretty intense urges, but I am ready for them this time. I've put my phone and PC in the attic and just use my playstation at the moment, which is much easier to control. I know that since i managed a long streak of 35 days and relapsed pretty quickly, it isnt a full back-to-square-one binge session, so if i stay focused it is likely i can reboot more quickly than starting at day 1. with that being said, i hope these chaser effects go fairly soon. theyre tough mann.

You HAVE to find things to do to take up that time. Simply getting rid of the devices won't do much, since in boredom you may get ideas...or even get depression. IMO don't even throw those devices away....if you know you can get the willpower to try some activity. Maybe just do stretching everyday for like 30 minutes along with a walk. Maybe join a rock climbing gym...maybe simply read more books, join a sports club....anything. Just do something.

In my case I used my extra time to: meditate, read books (I now read one non fiction and one fiction book at the same time), stretch/mobility nearly everyday, hit the gym harder, walk my dogs longer than I did before, watch some shows I have wanted to watch for awhile. One I would like to add is become more social as well.

Yeah i already take ice cold showers daily, hit the gym hard 4 times a week and do mobility work. I also am reading before bed as my phone is not available. I study daily for my exams (in may) which are the final exams in university for me. I have a job lined up for september so When that starts I will have A LOT less free time on my hands compared to now. At the moment, I am filling my free time with netflix, games and cooking (im tryna bulk). Its tough but i managed 35 days before with more technology around and I believe if i can do it now it'll be a breeze when i start work and i am a lot busier.
