This is a documentary about two men in their 30s, who allege they were sexually abused by Michael Jackson when they were boys of 7-14 and 10+. 30 top critics have given it 100% rating. It is 97% Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes (with input from all critics).

  2. Haven't seen it, but I don't give a crap about critic score. It has been extremely inaccurate way too many times for me to take those guys seriously anymore. I will just wait for audience score before I decide whether to watch it or not.

I found the two men (who shared Michael Jackson's bed when they were boys) very credible. Anyone else agree/disagree?

  7. I do since in this age of sexual assaults coming to light more and more, we should definitely be paying close attention toward male victims since society has such a stigma toward men who have been being molested and raped. As a sexual abuse victim, I understand why these men were afraid of telling the truth for so long since they were afraid and scared of what might happen to them. I felt the same way. I believe that these claims will see Jackson's reputation dwindle since the likes of other men in the music industry (Dr. Luke and R. Kelly) have been impacted by sexual assault victims coming forward and putting a stop to their behaviors. I've never been huge on Jackson's music (except for "Thriller" since it had the voice-over by Vincent Price) and I won't listen to it since I refuse to support anybody that sexually abuses people and expects to get away with it.

That is heart-breaking to hear pal! It is interesting though the perspective that gives you regarding their fear of telling the truth. Sexual assault and abuse (especially of minors) is the pinnacle of selfishness. Sadly, it leaves life-long scars on the victims. So many people have come forward with child molestation accusations against Michael Jackson, that I believe in all probability he was a predatory, serial child molester. What a vile man to operate under the illusion of loving children! :'( :'(

  10. ^^ I agree with everything you just said, man. It was the worst thing I've ever gone through, but I've healed myself of the stigma and embrace the fact that, as a survivor, if I can help one more victim come forward with my story, it will show that none of us are alone and that we all need to unify and stop this from continuing forward. I mean, when you're a child, the person gives you so much fear and poisons your mind that you're afraid that if you tell the truth, things will end badly for you (the victim) and not for the person responsible for the abuse. I was both abused and assaulted and while the scars have been mostly healed, my amazing AP (Jack) has really been helping me go through the final pieces of healing since he knows how I feel. He's such an amazing person and I wish he was back already. c:

You took the words right out of my mouth. I believe that he shouldn't be as well loved since if people still support him and his legacy even after all of this has come to light, it feels like a slap in the face toward survivors like myself. We have to do better as a society since if we don't, this problem is only going to continue.

  11. I haven't seen it yet, but I put a documentary about it on my YouTube watch later list. I know there have been rumors about him for a long time. I wish it wasn't true, but I can't say for sure, as I didn't know the guy. Still love his music though. His songs will always be some of my favorites, regardless, but it's sad to hear, and I'm sorry for whoever may have been hurt by him. :/

  12. I've seen it, its disturbing, I've no reason not to believe it. He was charged 2 times with multiple accounts, there definitely was something going on there.

I was abused as well though not to the degree they were. It messes you up for a long time or at least as long as you dont deal with it.

I can relate to the denial of it to yourself and others. But also as a young man, you dont think it's wrong because you dont know any better. When you look at it later in life, you can see how messed up it was and how manipulative those people are and then you get angry.

I believe my porn addiction stems from the abuse I encountered.

    Its messed up stuff.

All cases against him have been bullshit. I'm supposed to believe these two jackasses now that MJ has been dead for close to a decade and can't defend himself?

The case against him was always shit.

This is such a difficult topic (in general and in this case). Thank you for everyone that is commenting on the issue and not picking fights with each other.

An interesting aspect of this is: what effect, if any, do these claims make regarding watching him or listening to him in the future? Here are different points of view on this. I'm not trying to ignite an argument or personal attacks btw. Please don't.
Please correct me if I have misunderstood @Castielle, but it sounds like you are saying that even if you accept the testimony of the guys in the documentary you would still be able to enjoy his music.

At the moment, I have not made up my mind about this.

If R.Kelly's music is being banned from playing on radio stations then Michael Jackson's needs to be as well.

who cares, it was forever ago and hes dead anyway

  18. Yes, that is what I'm saying. All human beings are flawed and do some terrible things, and I don't personally agree with the way our society decides to just cast people out and never appreciate their work again because of who they are as a person. Listening to Michael Jackson's music does not mean I support or agree with his horrible actions (if those actions actually happened, of course).

In the same sense, I havent stopped watching Louis CK or any movie that has Kevin Spacey in it.

The Cosby show is a different situation, for me personally. I've never liked the Cosby show, so I don't watch it anyway, but if I did like it, I think it would be difficult to watch Bill Cosby as a fun-loving dad to girls he sexually abused. I don't think I could do that. If MJ had a show where he was being portrayed as the father of all the boys he assaulted, i wouldn't watch that. But to me, listening to his music is a completely different and unrelated thing. He is an amazing musician, and that doesn't change to be just because he was a bad person.

That's just my opinion on it. I'd appreciate if people don't attack me for it and claim that I support child abuse or some crap, because I can easily see that happening (not by you, IGY, but other people).

  19. It's also different because he's dead. So one of the factors people often have an issue with is giving these people your money, but our money isn't going to him. It's probably going to his family, I would think, and you can't necessarily blame them for his actions. So that factor is less relevant in this situation.

    Thanks for your post. :)

I endorse your final point and reiterate my words earlier. Please discuss the issue, don't attack the person. Thank you. :)
