500 days no PMO soon!.

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by Deleted Account, Mar 10, 2019.

  1. Wassup guys as of now im 489 days in (hardmode) and im just too excited to wait until 500 haha.

Wow it has been a crazy rollercoaster ride throughout my journey from the intense struggles, to the things I faced in life I once thought was impossible only made me stronger. To the tears I have now looking back to the depression, anxiety, low self esteem, the struggles with keeping eye contact, and the intense shame and guilt I felt when I fought my pmo struggle. Life still has it's struggles but that isn't gonna stop me! and it shouldn't for you. I realized that porn and masturbation isn't worth the amazing benefits (not super powers) i've experienced throughout this journey.

One thing I want to point out is throughout my streak on hardmode the days wasn't the biggest part but it was the habits I created, the challenges I pursued and overcame, the mental struggles and temptations I seen that i didn't give in to is what all made me stronger. Start making the negatives into a way where it can benefit from you. Ok let's say you saw something tempting, That is an opportunity for you to train your self-control and once you overcome that you should be proud of yourself because you just achieved something challenging! One tip i can give you is know your triggers and find ways to avoid them. I also don't use Social media anymore because the frustration and urges isn't worth it. Never give up because when your in a time when you doubt yourself to continue foward that’s when you need to use all your willpower to not give up. Always have faith in yourself!

So lets get to the things everyone wants to know :)

    1. I no longer objectify anyone and it was a constant issue I had and frustrated on before.

    2. My Social skills are really good and i still need to improve on it but it's to a point where i seek it because socializing is something we all need, it allows us to be more transparent with others and ourselves instead of being isolated with the shame and guilt porn gives us. Also be aware of who you surround yourself. Try to find more people who have the same values as you (more positive).

    3. Eye contact, ok this was one of the many issues i had. I can walk anywhere now and keep my head up and straight. I can pass by people and not be scared or nervous. I can also look at others in the eye while having a conversation or when i walk by.

    4. Confidence, This has only increased each day. I learned you have to seek validation and the self-worth within you and not from social media and from others. What matters is what you think. I'm also to a point where negativity can barely hurt me because I know what others say isn't true.

    5. Happiness. This is something I had to earn back because confidence and happiness isn't gonna come if I don't keep on improving myself. Every day is a beautiful day! I can smile each day and i can only smile haha, Coming from depression it really was hard to come back to the mindset where i start seeing and focusing more positivity than the negatives. What helped me was being honest with myself, write down the struggles you see in yourself and work on ways of resolving them, Take your time. success and happiness isn't going anywhere!

It doesn't matter how many times you fail, relapsed, or gave in. It is about never. giving. up! because the fight isn't over until you reach the point where you are never going back. And i will never go back because life is just so much more worth it than searching up a vid that i find best. There is so much to life it's all about you seeing the bigger picture but time is key.

Ask yourself this, Would you rather just feel the thought of missing out on porn and seeing something tempting or would you rather feel the emptiness and disappointment you feel after a relapse.

I wish best of luck for everyone! I know you got this.

Hey man I am 11 months into my reboot but I don't think I am fully recovered yet. Do you keep getting benefits after 11 months and if so, what benefits?

  5. Recovery takes a long time but benefits only increase, Focus on what accomplishments you made so far and how much you improved yourself before nofap

  8. There are many benefits but the ones that stood out the most was happiness and high confidence, as it’s different for everyone it’s progressive. each day your only becoming a better Version of yourself. What made me become a better person wasnt just because of the days but also but the habits I created and the issues I faced in myself that I had to change and resolve which all led me to have a much better lifestyle

  12. The withdrawals were very bad, the urges and frustration I felt during the last stages were terrible. Couldn’t sleep until 2 in the morning because the urges were intense but the only thing I did was lay in bed and just wait until the urges went away they will eventually go on its own, Also had to constantly go to the bathroom every 15 mins haha

Well done. 490 days is amazing. I don't know you, but I'm proud of you.

Best of luck with your upcoming chapter of self-development, regardless of how you choose to expand/shake things up from here.

  14. Congratulations :) just was wondering before the 490 days how many days in a row would you manage? And if so how many attempts roughly did it take?

  16. I kept trying for two years before this streak, slowly moved my way up to the mindset I have now. I remember searching up benefits that nofap gives thinkin if I will ever experience them myself. Went from not passing 20 days, 30 , 50 Days a few times until I told myself enough was enough porn will never satisfy my needs and it’s time for me to take action in seeing it as an enemy rather than a temptation and from there on I never went back.

  17. Glad I could help, I also understand how important it is to express and write my experience on my journey and the benefits I’ve experienced so far because when I first started I also seeked that motivation from others personal experiences too :)

  19. We all will fight our greatest enemy, and will only make us stronger once we face it head on
