  6. Mindfulness meditation. Trains your brain and mind to be able to ignore the urges. It teaches you how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. So then you can just sit with that pain, urge, anxiety, etc and be fine with it without needing to escape it. Also meditation literary makes some brain parts (such as prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for will power and rational thought) become thicker and grow bigger. So it's not just a mental thing, there are physical changes. It strengthens brain, like lifting weights at gym strengthens muscles.

  9. This is method what I use. It's from Buddhist perspective but don't get turned off by it cos meditation is not religious or supernatural in any way. It's like using Yoga for stretching; it comes from Hinduism yet it is also good for physical health without all that spiritual stuff. Same for meditation. I'm not Buddhist myself either.     Hi guys,
    totally newcommer to this page, first heard about NoFap about 8 hours ago...
    I come from Czech Republic, never seen anything bad on watching porn during my studies, but today, I'm married, I have 3yo son and I am starting to have some trouble in my sexual life..

    I don't blame my wife or anybody else, but today I somehow finally admitted to myself that I might be the cause of my own trouble. I feel terrible since my wife thinks its her fault or something, so I have decided to keep this 90 day challenge, even not watching porn and touching myself never again, since I think this could have very positive effects on our marriage and also other aspects of my personal life...

    So sorry about this superlong post, but I will be grateful for any crossed fingers for me, as I trust in everyone of you out there ;-) STAY CLEAN OF PMO!!! DAY 1 HAS BEGUN !!!

    Porn is for nobody. It's toxic to the mind. The same way as smoking is toxic for the lungs, nobody who cares about their health should do these things. Masturbation however can be justified, but it is for single people only in my opinion. If you have a proper marriage with a wife who is not denying you sex masturbating is just silly. Is your own hand really better than a real woman? Does not make sense... right?
