I don't know if my opinion is influenced by me being a male or not, but, I would say, there are a lot of provocative things on the internet in the form of ads, which are designed to make men appeal for the stuff they're advertising; even though most of it is spiced up, with the help of sexuality. There are a lot of triggering content, yes. I have noticed the same thing as well. I don't browse around for sexual content, and yet, such kind of ads pop-up while downloading torrents. Same goes with other websites as well. I mean, if I ever watch P (Just to explain the case here !), I only do it on incognito, so I guess, I have never ever searched for sexual content in a normal window which collects my history or cookies, and yet such kind of ads keep turning up. Not exactly sure why !

Maybe, it's equally triggering for women as well, but, I am just putting forward my notion, as a male here..;)

  9. I think men are more visual and woman are more intimate. Those ads appeal to men coz once they see something that's all they want but women like the details more than men. My opinion anyway, may be wrong but it's so weird how those ads are enforced.

  12. probably triggers both but more men. I think it's similar to coca-cola ad where the guy just strips when he spills coke on himself, they're probably using sex to sell.
that's the ad if you didn't know but got a topless hench guy so wouldn't advise no PMO girls to look at it. :)

    15 days check in

    Slowly pulling outta this shit

    Reading, exercise, working hard.

Working a lot stops me going to the gym. It doesn’t stop me reading, doing press-ups and sit-ups. Taking my vitamins and omega 3.

If the human mind can dream it, it can achieve it!

  16. Checking in day 72. In peace with world and my body and memories about my ex'es and enjoying spring :) Reg that question about triggers - I think men are more into visuals and women-oriented so they get triggered easily and we women are not only triggered by men but also by their bodies, their body odour or perfume (this is one of the greatest triggers for me these days) etc and also we subconsciously compare ourselves to other girls with whom these guys interact. This is reinforced by diet industry, beauty industry etc. As in porn - when we watch porn our brain thinks that we have to look like these girls, f*uck like these girls in order to have this dream guy and live then happily ever after :D there's no relationship in porn of course, just animal type mating, but we women seek connection and stability with some man in the future. So we direct all efforts at ourselves. Whereas men objectify women. Our brain are wired differently.

WOW! @fleurette, thanks for this. I've always wondered what interested woman about porn. That is huge learning moment!

Porn for women is looking and comparing their body image first and sex second, correct? For men, isn't it about the sex first and body image comparison second?

There's no "seeming" to get out, brother. Maybe you're not feeling that bad, anymore after you relapse, and maybe that's why you're still continuing this. Don't you want to experience the benefits you enjoy while doing NoFap ? So, hop in right away. Just keep trying, and try to find out answers. Ask yourself some questions, questions about your abstinence from Porn. Like, What is your reason for Quitting this ? You feeling terrible after a relapse shouldn't be a reason. That's just a vague one. What's bad enough in Porn for you ? For me, I began objectifying women as mere Sexual objects, and I would begin Fantasising Sexually about them. I was still Okay with that for a long time, before joining here. I mean, I even fantasised on my teachers, class mates and all. I didn't feel like it was a bad thing, until I stepped out of the peep-hole. Now, that I am trying not to think in such a way, I clearly see benefits. I would earlier, only notice the body of women, and that, for me was the only beauty I saw in them. Later, after abstaining and trying to control myself to not fantasise, I see their attitude, their character, I see the humane things they do. I see the motherly warmth in them, and all the other blissful things in Women. They're not Sexual Objects, the way it is portrayed in the Society, they are all so much more than that. They deserve so much better. So just ask yourself, What is it that you find bad in this addictive behaviour of yours, brother ? Stop looking at Porn, stop the relapsing Streak. You did not come here without a reason. You feel bad after relapsing, So, it's time to stop feeling bad. We shall make yourselves happier by staying away from all of that bull crap. Also brother; Just because you fail, doesn't mean you should Stop trying. CHEERS, hope you start right away.

Exactly, I think it's too far away from the truth. Many young people (like me), gain most of their sexual knowledge from Porn, and many try to follow things shown through Pornography, while they, the makers of Pornographic content, make the videos in such a way that they turn out to appear in a more appealing way. They showcase people rubbing each other in uncomfortable positions just for the viewers to catch a good view of the private organs of the opposite sex, so as to get turned on, or to get that Dopamine rush. [ I don't know if the positions are uncomfortable, I just read about that somewhere on the internet. :p]
