I think I need to go to the mental. I can't stop doing PMO. It's been a month now, and my mental health is not in a good state. I don't know where should I seek help and fortunately ended up here in NoFap.

I've been trying my best to stop PMO but I really can't. There's this one time when I'm thinking about what school should I take, but then distracted by a bird, when I get back to thinking, I forgot what I'm thinking about.

I really think PMO is affecting my mental health. Please help me.

Ps: Sorry about my grammar mistakes

    Remus! Welcome to the community!
What did you mean by that? You've been in NoFap for over a month?

Can you tell me what leads you to PMO? When do you PMO? Do you use PMO as a means of escapism?

I just joined NoFap a moment ago... I mean I've been doing PMO for a month. Sorry about my grammar. But I think doing PMO for a month really affects my mental health, and I don't know how to start my reboot please help me... Yes I think I DO PMO to escape reality and stop myself from overthinking.

The first thing you need to do in my opinion is to start a journal. Go to the forum and click on your age group. Start a journal and in your first entry, make sure you write down the REASONS you want to quit porn.

You can learn more about the nature of PMO addiction on the website www.yourbrainonporn.com

Next comes the crucial step. What actually leads you to porn? You sit in a closed room with ample internet speed hooked on your laptop or smartphone that has no filters so you can access porn and fry your brains for hours?

If that is so, take steps to keep yourself from accessing porn, don't put yourself in situation that leads you to temptation, keep off your smartphone or laptop in another room or something before you sleep. If you are working , use your gadgets in living room.

Spend more time outdoors. You said you are confused about you career right? Figure that out. If you get distracted by thinking, then write your thoughts down, it will give you more clarity. Build a lifestyle that serves you well. Include physical exercise in your routine.

    Update your journal daily.

And remember that your own resolution to succeed is most important.

You don't have to worry so much my friend, this addiction can be overcome. You are not alone in this fight. I am with you.
    Keep fighting!
    Cheers!
