Does anyone know any extension that filters the adult content on YouTube? Or forces the restricted mode to be turned on?
I knew one extension called Blocksi who did the job for me. But the content filter feature is for the premium users only.
Does anyone know any other way to block adult content on YouTube?

Yes best to have blocker in your brain, absolutely right.

Otherwise try a adult content blocker. I can recommend Qustodio. It's free for up to two devices with limited settins. Otherwise 50 bucks per year. It will force the restricted mode to stay on on Youtube. But be aware, there's a lot of music, podcasts and other stuff besides erotic content which will be blocked as well!

There's plenty of adult content on youtube, it's just not EXPLICIT.

Best way to control youtube is to install an extension like DistractionFree Tube which deletes homepage, recommendations and even comments if you want to. You have an empty youtube page and you only get what you search for.

I have distractionfree Tube extension on my chrome. I have been using it from last 5 months and it has helped me to remove the addicting effects of YouTube app. But, I have history of fapping over erotic content on YouTube. So, I have a general urge to get on YouTube and watch the videos. I had blocksi working fine to block the videos but now that I know that it doesn't work anymore, I have started getting a lot of urges.
    So, looking for a solution.

I get what you are trying to say.
Though I have a very big history of fapping over youtube videos. So there is some kind of mental wiring to those videos. Whenever I come home after a tiring day and open YouTube, and watch some random vidoes. After 2 or 3 videos, I get this sudden urge to watch erotic content available there. And at that moment, those videos are acceccible to me on one click. So, there is not a gap of 'reminding myself of my goals and telling myself that I am addicted to this stuff and it has done a lot of bad to me and how I have told people on nofap that I will complete 365 days without porn.' I want to build some sort of delay or block, like when I search and click on the video, it should say 'Video Restricted'. Because I can't trust my brain and my willpower everytime. And knowing that I have a past associated with such relapses, I know there is gonna be some day when I will say fuck it, I need to watch those videos. All it will take is one bad day. So, it's better that I install a parental control software like you mentioned. Thanks for the recommendation:)

Look I've argued about this many times and I'm not going to get deep into this again. But as far as I understand the nature of addiction, it's a bad move to install a daily reminder that you don't trust yourself. It subconsciously enforces your belief that there is a part of you that you can't control. When really the way forward is to learn that you can control it. But you can't learn that with a safety net installed. But anyway, that's just my experience and you have to make your own.

    Such a beautiful perspective, man.
It was like an eye-opener. I can now resonate with what you are saying.
    Thanks, buddy.

  9. I have "youtube" in my list of Objectionable Words on my accountability software. That way my APs know every time I go on there and can see everything I watch. Nothing to keep you honest like the fear of public shame! :) Also, I love my APs and do not want to trip them up, so I try to set an example with my own words and actions, just as they do for me. We encourage one another along the way!

Set your router DNS to Cleanbrowsing DNS.

    185.228.168.168 and 185.228.169.168

Then Youtube Restriction Mode will be forced to enable. It is very simple and elegant solution.

Using a blocker is just putting a band aid on a amputation.

Don't rely on technology. Fix the wiring in your brain.

Use clean browsing family dns. That locks youtube on restricted mode and can't be turned off unless you change the dns settings. Then a better bet would be locking the dns settings and make them difficult or impossible to access.
