it was a research a friend of mine told me like 20 years ago :D i never imagine that one day that would help me and all the brothers here. funny how life goes :)

the study was about asian teenagers that were very horny (typical in puberty) but due to cultural reasons they didn´t ejaculate, they just edge. ejaculating would mean loss energy, loss of chi... whatever, so they didn´t orgasm.
what happened was that they were facing huge prostate damage because they didn´t ejaculate. so doctors were telling about the dangers of fapping but not releasing, overall it was very bad and they strongly advice to people never edge. and it makes perfect sense. if we wanna start something, the body is already aligned with that. stopping it especially in the finish line is very disturbing.

of course, you probably exausted all your dopamine in that long playing streak, that´s why you feel like a zombie. try to have a balance on those things, 1 or 2 hours max, then change the focus to other activities beside screens.

This day is finally came. I'm really thankful for this group. Thanks for all people who gave me some advices when I asked for them. Through these 3 months it became a habit to not masturbate when I feel sad or stressed but to make it produtive and to do something else. Before this program I fighted this addiction for 7 years (since my 12th year), and I felt a lot of shame through these years. It stole from me a lot of joy. And when I came here for this challenge I did it (by the help of God). I think was a really big help that I realised why I want to fight this bad habit: because God said it's not okay, because I wanted to became free from my anxiety, because of the shame, because I want a girlfriend. Another good stuff was that I staarted to write on this challenge something positive that I felt, seen or did that day. So this motivated me to focus on positive things to post something here.
    The benefits:
    - i have more motivation for everything bcause my brain is not satisfied
-i dont feel that much of anxiety
    -i don't procrastinate that much
    -i feel myself more manly
-i can talk to people better, because I don't have weird sexual thoughts about them

Maybe these are not that kind of a hipersuperpower, but surely I'm different of the person I used to be before I started this program

90 days no pmo...big bow of thanks and respect to all of you :emoji_bow: keep going, keep coming back, and don’t give up, one day at a time, one urge at a time...the challenge is each and every day, each and every moment...good luck everyone!

  20. Wow, thanks so much for telling me. I had no idea there was research to back it up. Now I am wondering if the damage done already will reverse itself with abstinence of PMO and edging. Time will tell I guess but the good news was my PSA levels (prostate) were half of what they were before I went on this streak on Jan 25, 2019. I was at 6.2 and went down to 3.9 which means I didn't need to go on more meds (avodart) to shrink my prostate. Sure hope it reverses anyway otherwise I will be on flomax the rest of my life most likely. This drug relaxes prostate and the bladder neck muscles to make it easier to pee.
