I finally broke my personal best of 45 day. However, I am facing a problem. It looks like I get blue balls each two weeks or so, and the pain is unbearable. I cannot exercise and cannot walk decently fast and usually by the third day or so. It interferes with my sleep too( like I cannot sleep well because of the pain). Anyways, I am finally at the point where I can control my urges but the blue balls are really annoying. I figured out that when I take epibrufen for a couple of days the pain goes away. However, I don't want to be addicted to pain killers. Can anyone confirm if the blue balls things will ever go away. This is the fourth time I get it since the start of the current streak.

I did a little research about the subject of blue balls a while ago. it's usually cause your body is used to having urges so the blood accumulates in the genitals causing pain. only solution other than masturbation and painkillers is doing something that calms the urges down. I recommend cold showers .
and yeah it should ease up with time. the more you go on with your streak, the less and less they occur till they go away completely

Thank you for your reply. I tried cold showers and exercise neither worked well. The problem is that the pain keep increasing day by day unless I get the epibrufen or masturbate, and I really don't want to masturbate again this time. I started this time with 30days streak that is extensible indefinitely. I would like to at least reach one year. Breaking the 45 day barrier is a big step for me since I usually give up at 45 days. But the pain is really annoying and it is not like it is an hour or two per day, no it is continuous. So far it has been recurring approximately each two weeks ( this is the fourth time in my current streak) It is stays for around 5 days ( less if I take epiBrufen)

I get what you're saying. you see when you take a cold shower or do an exercise or lift something heavy the blood should stop accumulating in the genitals. But then you get another arousal causing the blood to accumulate again
There are medications that reduce the sexual desire such as prozac and zoloft

The side effects of prozac or zoloft are far worse than that of epibrufen. I would rather Just use epibrufen if that is the alternative.

Have you tried cautious application of ice packs ? Put some cloth between the ice pack and your body and don't leave the ice pack on too long --- you don't want frostbite !
Although this sounds like a crazy idea, it does work.

Other thing to do is to make sure you "boys" are supported. Wearing tight briefs or an athletic supporter can help sometimes.

    Hope you are feeling better.

One day at a time is how we all succeed.

    Three things.
First, When I get a bit aroused sometimes I can easily have ball ache.
So I need to be very vigilant and avoid those thoughts or images that are not P but can get my mind going.

Second, some ice on the area helps, don’t freeze them, just cool them.

Third, avoid wearing loose underwear and give my balls better support. Jockbriefs or lycra compression shorts work well for me

You will not get addicted to Ibuprofen. It is not an opioid. It is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID).

Apart from cold showers (unlikely to make any difference in my opinion), the method proposed by @bfdet is effective. :) You can also dangle your plums in cold water. This helps to remedy the vasocongestion which causes the ball aching. o_O

Yesterday, I just gave up and took epiBrufen. Today I feel OK, I just don't want to be dependent on the painkillers. I know that I am good now for another week, maybe a couple of tablets of epiBrufen each other week is not such a bad thing.

I have not tried the ice pack Idea. I will try it next time( after a week from now or something). Thank you for suggesting it.

I try to avoid thoughts as much as possible by keeping myself busy, but when mind wanders mind wander so what to do?

I will try the ice idea, never tried it to be honest.

Also, I wear loose underwear a lot. I will try your suggestion too. Thank you very much

Well when my mind wonders it’s time to more willingly engage in other more productive activity.

When you catch your mind wandering . You need to zap out of it and come to the present moment. Staying in those wandering moments is like stepping in quicksand and letting it stay in and sink just to see what it feels like. Get your foot out of there ! What I do when I catch myself doing that and it's really powerful is I think if a random number . .. uhhhh 517! And subtract another hard number ... Ujh 9! ..508...499...490..481....472

Ok maybe I should of picked a harder number than 9..lol but I hope you get it. It can take all your concentration to subtract those numbers that it takes you right out of those wandering thoughts .

Cold showers are an essential part of my recovery plan. Not just for the balls but for the brain and nervous system.

Google it. The benefits are plentyfold!
