So I have been going strong no PMO for about a month now, I am super proud but I keep feeling like I should M to relieve the tension building up inside me.

In your experience, does masturbating make it harder to stop P addiction? (quitting P is my main goal but I have been abstaining from M because I thought it would make it easier).

    Thanks guys, let me know

    Harder, for a few reasons:
    1. It slows down the healing process because you're still messing your chemicals.
    2. You'll probably turn to MOing while fantasizing, which is bad in itself for reasons similar to P - objectifying women, etc.
    3. Fantasizing will eventually lead you to stronger cravings which will push you back to PMO.

    YES! YES! YES!
    Trust me please.

  5. it's hard but it's worth.. told by a 23yr old guy virgin doing the hard mode.. without a bit of sacrifice you won't get a bit of reward.. stay strong for at least 90 days, then make your choices but with your new mental clarity it will be surely the right one and yes it's harder bc you'll think than if you're already seeing in your mind why don't see with you eyes, by now your mind want to trick you bc it want to release, but it will change if you change

There's nothing wrong with objectifying women

Oh really? Ask a woman if she wants to be treated as an object and not a person.

Yes, it makes it harder, without a doubt.

I think you should do 90 days, at least, hardmode, before masturbating.

Women love to be desired and objectified by the right man do why do you think they love being called sluts and whores in bed and rough sex? Do you think they walk around in short skirts and not know that every man is eyeing them up and down? you can like a women and treat her as a person and still objectify her body as a sex object, thinking women are pure innocent angel is extremely naive, ask any man successful with women and he'll tell you the same

  11. don't want to be too naive man but this sound too much like when women search for rape by being drunk in a club.. I know it was not your intention but it's sound like this and I assure you it's not a good a thing.. At all

If u relieve the tension then seriously whats the point of doing it anyway u will be going back to pmo in no time and u would feel more depressed afterwards and u would think why wasn't I able to handle that pressure it should have been so easy etcetc . So my opinion is that don't do it

My longest streak was 14 days, and my relapsed was due an instagram post. And my mind started asking the same thing. Should I just masturbate without porn? And then guess what happened? I returned to the old cycle.

It's still to early, your mind is pulling tricks on you. But if ya relapse, don't take it as a loss. Restart all over again. But you already manage to reach for about a month, might aswell just continue now.

If you relapse NOW. By the end of July you will be thinking: "If only I didn't relapse on that day, I could be on a 2 month streak now and feeling way better than I am right now."

Wow, thanks everybody for the overwhelming support. I honestly think there should be a quick help line for those about to lapse because last night when I wrote that post I was seriously debating whether I should give into M right then and there, however you guys pushed me to see how far I can go.

Thanks all and I hope anyone about to relapse reads this thread.
