drunk honesty

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Aug 5, 2019.

  1. I am drunk right now and i just want to give my honest opinion on nofap and how to quit, so i see so many people saying they failed over and over again.... like let me ask you a question guys, what are you truly doing to quit, what great sacrifice have you made to be free?. For me personally the answer to porn addiction is clear, quit the internet, or limit it to where porn is impossible... i did this and look where i am now, honestly there is no other way, will power is shit. So stop screwing around, what is it you are trying to quit... what do you wish to achieve?, are you doing all you can to quit?, judging by the fact that you still use the internet i would say you are not, just my porn free opinion tho..., who am i even preaching to tho?, a porn addict doesnt care for logic or reason, they will use every excuse known to man so they wont have to quit the internet, even now you are disagreeing with me, whatever do what you want, i am free now, can you say the same?.

Yeah, I've been saying all along that internet addiction is a problem for many of us. I didn't get my feedback on the topic unfortunately. Not as bad as compulsive binge PMOing but a problem nevertheless. I have no problem with a "smart phone" as I exchange it for "stupid phone" years ago. I only use smartphone when I travel to have access to navigation. I don't use social media. My main problem is mindless web browsing, especially YT (I admit YT is social media to a degree too). What good is it to exchange one addiction (PMO) for another? I've decided to cut the cord after reading Cal Newport's Digital minimalism. I'm doing digital detox soon - 30 days of complete digital detox without any tech and then start using PC strictly for job's needs and educational purposes only.

We live in a sick society, so many of our issues are intertwined it can be hard to unravel it all, this is compounded by the fact that we are going into the future blind, we have no precedent for this stuff. We can emulate our ancestors, but this can only take us so far.

Good job - I relapsed recently but it's good to see you are getting traction - I remember you were struggling pretty good for a while
