    Hi everyone,

I have just majorly relapsed after 13 days. I am extremely depressed I have let down God.

I have ask for his forgiveness multiple times aft PMO.

But this is recurring. After every PMO I ask for his forgiveness.

    I feel I don't deserve it.......

  2. Let's face it - nobody know if God exists or not and if God will forgive you or not.

You are looking for a reassurance, but you need to face your life and your problems. You need to rethink your behaviour and start to work on yourself, not seeking forgiveness.

I am working on my behaviour, but I also believe I am created by a God who exists. Everything in our universe didn't come from Nothing

There, I fixed it for you. It's in the past now.

    God forgives. And heals.

1 Corinthians 10:13 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

You should seek forgiveness from yourself. Learn to accept yourself for who you are acknowledge who you are fully and accept it. Then make the decision that where you are now is not where you will be forever. Make the conscious decision to become a person who doesnt watch P. If you feel shame after each relapse then youll feel like youre failing after each mistake. Rather learn new trigger plan new things to prevent yourself from breaking a streak. Make more goals just keep learning. This way you dont feel like youre taking 1 step forward and 2 back. This way you realize that the path from point A to point B is almost never linear. Theres no one who gets from A to B in one shot. Get rid of that mentality life isnt a movie the most successful people are such due to the abundance of mistakes and experience they gained from their failures. Just keep fucking going

That's really great advice, quite a lot of information and it makes a lot of sense and logic.
Beating myself up isn't helping me after a relapse, but my feelings for Jesus are so strong that I can't help but feel strong remorse after PMO ....

The thing is I am being tempted beyond what I can bear, hence the relapse. If I could bare the temptation, I wouldn't relapse.

And I don't know the way out God is giving me.

I'm trying to help myself as much as possible going now as far as getting rid of simple bikini models on my Instagram.

I can't look at any flesh, breast cleavage or anything like that because it will just lead to wanting more flesh...til what end?...

I understand that shame is an inherent part of religion but know how to use it. I guarentee you that shame isnt serving you if you allow to control you. Technically the point of jesus is to accept you for your sins. Hed want you to accept yourself for you and grow as an individual. Religiously this could be a moment for you syrengthen your faith if you allow yourself to

You're right. You don't deserve God's forgiveness. Humanity is really f***ed up. But the cool thing is that God will love you right now just as much as he loves in the future when you are porn-free (yes, I believe that you will be porn-free eventually). His love isn't conditional, he will love you the same whether you kill 50 people or donate to charity every week.

You don't deserve his forgiveness, I don't deserve it, none of us do. But we get it anyways.

God loves you as you are. But he also loves you too much to let you stay this way.

One God only in the universe if you don't believe him and are following unreal God, it doesn't matter if you watch porn or quit it.

Keep on praying, and keep on going. God forgives you because you are truly repentant. You will stop eventually, even if it takes years from now, but you have to keep on going.

  15. None of us deserve it, and yet he offers forgiveness to us freely. Our job is to receive it. This is what "faith" means: responding rightly to God when he reveals himself to us. He offers forgiveness to you, no strings attached, just because he loves you. Amazing! Will you receive it from him? That is up to you to decide. I hope you will!

You're not helping anyone. There's no reason to make someone trying to quit pornography question their faith, especially since there are good reasons to believe that there is a God.

Of course I will receive it. Grace is a gift. But I am so sick and tired of constantly relapsing, then asking for forgiveness, relapsing.... asking for forgiveness.... relapsing....... asking for forgiveness. I feel I am making a mockery of gods forgiveness by sinning and relapsing. Like its pointless to ask for it after so many sins....

I know a decent amount about God and the bible but am I missing something?

  19. This is the "sin-confess-sin" cycle, and it can be a terrible trap to fall into. What you are missing is Christ's power to break you out of that cycle.

The reason you are missing this power is because you are taking half-measures to deal with the sin of PMO. You feel bad when you do it, you promise never to do it again, and you go along well for a while. Then temptation comes and you cave in again. And feel terrible again. And confess again. And the cycle repeats.

Why do you cave in when temptation comes? There is something in you that continues to believe -- and *wants* to believe -- the lie of PMO. You are trying to treat the symptom of the undesirable behavior, but you are not tearing it out by the root. The root is what goes on in your mind and heart. This battle is in our minds, and that is where it must be fought and won.

I use the FREEdom process to discipline my mind and keep it centered on Christ's Truth. I highly recommend it, as well as reading the entire book from which I learned it:
    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zqVL11JjWICOHCRUDmqXr9TNC_gpb6yhRF1hKp-fxcc/edit

I also highly recommend that you get and interact with on a daily basis a group of APs. If I can serve as one of them, it would be a privilege. Just shoot me a DM on here any time. Accountability and encouragement from a group of men who are in the struggle with you and know what it's like to be where you are at can be terrifically helpful.

This is the fight of our lives. It will take everything we've got to beat it -- and more! We cannot do it in our own strength. We need God's help every step of the way, and we need a supportive community around us to cheer us on. You *can* beat this, but it is going to take consistent effort over time to do so.

You're on Day 4. How about you commit to that being the last time you ever see Day 4 for the rest of your life? :) I hope we can discuss further!
