As i mentioned in my previous post that i was fighting with urges today my brain told me again nd again to watch porn...

finally i watched porn clips for constantly 3 hours without fap

the intresting thing is that i didnt fap i didnt touch my penis just watched porn nthng else

my urges are complelety gone now but feeling worried is watchng porn effects my reboot or progress?

i didnt even touch my single finger to penis when i watched porn for 3 hours

should i have to reset my counter?

If the particulars of your challenge include abstaining from watching porn, then yes, you should reset the counter. If your challenge only includes using porn to masturbate, you might not have to, but I think you should seriously examine the state of your efforts and decide what this meant and how you might be able to be more careful.

That's naive, but whatever. It's your challenge, you get to decide whether watching 3 hour of porn is a reset or not. If you think you're going to do a successful reboot while taking occasional 3-hour porn binges, good luck with that.

To be honest, I agree with The Eleven. Congrats on no fapping during your 3 hour binge of watching porn, but at the same time you caved into your urges and wasted 3 hours of your time watching porn.

Reset, totally. I glimpsed at porn for about 1½ - 2 minutes at day26 of this streak. I opted not to reset my counter because I thought it would induce a binge. If reseting will induce a binge for you, then by all means DO NOT reset. But just remember that every single day is day1 and every single day is a struggle (some more than others).
3 hours of porn watching will do a lot of damage to your neuropathways but you must cut it here.

Like I say, you get to make the rules around your own recovery. But I think it is dishonest to say you have gone 56 days since you last PMO'd if you have looked at P during that time. But more importantly, I don't think you fully understand the brain chemistry at play here and how damaging P can be even if you don't MO to it.

My old football coach used to say to us when he'd catch someone slacking off in practice: "You're only cheating yourself!"

He was right. Your counter can say whatever you want it to say. But if it's based on a lie, you're only cheating yourself. Last I'll say on the topic.

Ultimately, it is your challenge. There are a variety of different stances on how porn plays into all of this, and as long as you're satisfied with the results of your challenge, anything else is just people's opinion. Given that your counter says "PMO", though, that would include porn, so you might want to change it to MO. I come from the opposite position: that masturbation is not as bad as porn (though I'm trying to abstain from both), but there are many different ideologies that people take going into this, and only by respecting where you yourself are coming from and answering those questions for yourself will you be able to know what's right for you.

So you had strong urges, didn't want to PMO, but then you couldn't take it anymore, so you gave in and gave your brain what it wanted for three hours. Now your brain is satisfied. Sounds like a relapse to me.

However, Ze'ev is right: If your challenge is not to MO, change your counter to MO and you're all set.

In any way: Congrats on 56 days! That's 8 weeks, well done!

Its up-to you, most of us struggle with pmo addiction and its mainly because of the P.
Check out this reddit post: http://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/comments/2zwnc4/just_a_small_peek_wont_hurt/

I read a lot of journals and have experienced this as well - you start by watching P and thinking it doesn't effect you because you don't notice any instance drawbacks.. But then a few days gone back and your dopmain levels just explode and you relapse.. As much as we all think we can control our bodies - to me when i did watch P in one of my trials and say that i am over it, i relapsed 10 days later and those 10 days just drove me insane with edging.. "just a small peek" i said.. Felt like utter shit... So many others did peek and relapsed days laters..it comes back and effects you hard later on.. So be careful.

Now the past 3 days i am not edging but my brain tells me 'go look up this' and that.. "just a small peek" i know i can't instantly do that (i have all P blocked on my phone and laptop) and i know if i 'peek' i will relapse a few days afterwards and if i don't am just gona go crazy lol..

I think the best thing you can do is set up multiple trackers: last time since i m'ed, last time since i watched p, last time since i pmo.. etc.
personally i only consider a relapse to me is when.. fap.... (my last relapses didnt even involve p or fantasy..).. but i am not going to go look up porn no matter how hard my brain wants me to, i will fight it off till i die.

  14. I think that this video has some helpful thoughts and advice on this matter. What I would take away from this is that you had a strong victory over masturbation addiction by not relapsing to that 3 hours of porn, while at the same time you had a set back on the re-balancing your brain side of things by watching said porn. So take the positive and be proud of it and learn from the set back but do not let it slow you down. : ) So high five good sir, every victory builds resolve and generates momentum for the kind of change that helps us become the best version of ourselves.

Let me tell you about my own mistake, once i did same (not 3 hours) but overthinking about should i reset led me to relapsing. My idea is not to reset your counter but write somewhere what happend and when happend and archive it, then be prepared for some urges and dont get sad, as i feel with my own experiences you will be not in day1 but you MAY feel some urges in following some days until you feel normal again :)

  16. Based on the subjectivity of the definition; it's up to you. Personally, I would reset despite no orgasm. Porn is an integral part of Nofap and giving in for such a substantial period can be detrimental to your mind rewiring itself.

  17. Do you think looking at porn for 3 hours is normal?? Think about your wealth mate.
    You should reset your counter

  18. Thats It.

And the worse is that you know that you are wrong but you Just cant stop.

    Its Like relapsing for days.

    This is just completely wrong.

You 100% relapsed. No doubt there,so reset your counter and start again.
