Rape has been so common throughout human history that our current view of rape is actually out of the ordinary.

 

Yes, I share your opinion. And I would like to answer the rhetoric question that you ask. Why is it? Well, to me it is part of a plan to weaken the society. They want to get rid of functioning families, they want broken individuals that are weak and that can be controlled. Families are strong, they are private, members protect each other and can resist against potential totalitarianism, weak individuals can't. Also children raised in families are stronger. You don't want that, you want children from broken houses that should be put in some brainwashing public institution where they are taught stuff like that they can change their sex whenever they want, that it is OK to watch Porn, that the end of the world due to climate change is about to come in five years and that only more public control can prevent it, and so on.
You can see this in history, every totalitarian system is trying to rip apart families and get the children brainwashed as soon as possible. And this is currently happening in the Western Societies.

Porn is just one tool to get rid of resistance. And confident, competent and proud males are dangerous. You want them to be broke, weak and sticked to their Computer screen jerking of to transwomen.

This is nothing more, but my humble opinion.

I have teenage boys and I educate them in the dangers of porn

But HOW can we do more??
Are there any groups out there we can join to make porn not so easily avail to young kids??

This is going to ruin society.
It’s so insanely vulgar and disgusting.
It’s so out of hand.

It’s comparable to watching ISIS killing videos. It’s desensitization.
It’s traumatizing to the brain.

And those videos get taken down right away.

This is the right question. I constantly see people complaining on forums and on youtube. And very often, I am one of them. This has no impact, nobody cares about some comments. And Youtube shadow-bans critical comments anyway: only the guy who commented can see his comment and nobody else.

What can we do? I don't know. If you try to change something, they will call you a fascist, a woman hater, a transphobic, a retard. You risk loosing your job... it's like in the communist eastern block. The West has been infiltrated.

For me ALL roads lead back to dopamine.... There should be a 1000 page book like 'Life, Dopamine and YOU'.
To me, if you understand and master your dopamine system you will dominate in so many aspects of life.

What is toxic masculinity? What does this even mean? There is nothing toxic about masculinity. There is a lot of toxic things about modern feminism.

 

Being a man means wanting the best for you, your family and your community and acting in a way that this happens: the best. You're a man, you have a physical advantage, when you're young and healthy, then you are among the strongest of your family / community. Who, if not you, is supposed to face the challenge of life, the predators around you? Of course, you will be afraid, of course you will have moments of weakness. And sometimes you will cry and will be beaten up. And you can talk about it with your friends or family, but the goal is to make you better. They will help you, as long as you're not whining.
This means to me being a man.
It is not masculine to be a drinker, a smoker, a drug addict, a guy who beats his wife or his children and wakes up a 11a.m., surrounded by empty bottles and his own vomit. This is not a man.

Excellent thread. But sorry to get a bit off topic here, but I always wandered how the porn industry are finding some of these women, I mean some women are very attractive and seem to be stable between there ears yet they agree sleeping with man who they barely know and even without protection! And they seem to enjoy it as well! And of course they know they are also being taped with the risk of someone personal noticing them!? I think if I was a woman I definitely would not want to have sex with someone I barely know no matter how good looking and sexy he is!

 

Nothing is purely positive or negative. You are biased because of your personal experience with porn and it sounds like you are using it as a scapegoat for issues that are way more complex than you are willing to admit. Let's try to maintain some intellectual integrity here please.
